Recently started playing FF XIV beta and really enjoy the story, however I stopped playing because I want to wait until open beta. Any other games I can play solo with great story and preferably F2P? Tried SWTOR Jedi Consular but the story feels kinda 'meh' and I rather not play another class because I like healers.

LOTRO.. or TSW?
Those are the only ones really. If you want good solo stories.. MMOs are not really the place to be looking.
When i look for a MMO with good story for me quality of voice over as well as cut scenes matters a lot otherwise it fails to immerse me into the storyline. This is the reason why i simply adore Secret World and its storytelling.
One has to play the latest issue to know what i am talking about (really creepy stuff). The Secret World story telling is 10/10. If you are into horror genre you will love the story in TSW.

I would say SWTOR. You said you tried the Consular, which, imo, really only is good once you hit chapter 3. Up until then, its a drudge. My favorite story by far was the Sith Warrior. I had so much fun with that story, and it made me feel more connected to a toon and I have ever felt. To the point I can't play another Sith Warrior that looks different because I'm so connected to how he looks now. To me he's a real toon if that makes sense.
Anyways, that's my 2 cents. GW2 story was decent, but I only ever played a toon to level 20. Couldn't play past that for some reason.

I really need to try TSW for this reason. I haven't tried it yet . I'll be upgrading my PC by a hefty amount here in a month or so, and was planning on trying out TWS then. I'm a sucker for good story in an MMO because it connects me to my toon. If I'm not connected to my toons, I can't invest as much into them. SWTOR has ruined other MMO"s for me because of that reason.

Vannor +1, LotRO or TSW.
But since I wrote those two in every thread I guess it's only fair to be a bit more constructive this time
So, Consular has a decent storyline, but yep, it's a bit too predictable. Usually there's an agreement that the Imp.Agent has the best story. And to your luck ("because I like healers") Agents can be pretty good healers. If you have an empty char.slot left on your TOR account, maybe you should give it a try.
LotRO can be good for storyline, i mean its based on an incredible piece of lore, right?
but if you need VOA and cutscenes then TSW is your game of choice.
however, be prepared for a paced experience in either game if you're looking to stick to the storyline. i think i can say that this is especially true of TSW. while you may run around and shoot things with your shootie thingy. its not a run'n'gun by any means.
i actually wish it had more Defiance style combat tbh.

One could be called finite, the other infinite.

an infinite game for the purpose of continuing play."

There are two other classes that can heal on each faction in TOR. Operative/Scoundrel (agent/smuggler), and the BH/Trooper (I can't recall the class name now <.<).
The agent storyline was considered to be one of the better lines.
Great story in a game : Telltale's Walking Dead
Great story in a MMO:
a) direct player to story interaction (you live the story): The Secret World
b) indirect player to story interaction (game is not story based but lore is still rich in the game): EVE-Online, there are persistent rumors that the developers sneak in tid bits of lore every few patches or so to further progress the backstory of the game while also having the EVE News system to report on important in-universe events (such as the Haatamo station siege). Fun fact to think about: The developers have teased several times that the secret to why wormhole space suddenly opened up in Apocrypha is hidden within the game but this mystery still remains unsolved even 4-5 years down the line even with notable RP groups and dedicated lore hounds shifting through the mountains of lore existing regarding wormholes.
Oh and the Book of EVE (a player made compilation of all stories and lore within the EVE universe) is around 1000 pages long and still growing.
