Looking for a game that is completely free to play and is not level based, but skill based  and you "level" based on the skills you use.  Also a game with crafting that is worth it, not just a side part, but you can make equipment you could use.  This is kind of vague, but would like a list of about 10-12 games to try out and just see what others like and I could play.

Also I like the look of the game repopulation, hoping to play when it comes out.  Hope that helps.

Probably not free to play enough for you, but there's Mabinogi. Yes it does have levels, but leveling your skills matters a lot more, and you can get the resource for leveling your skills (AP) from doing things other than leveling up.

    well, Ryzom sort of.

It has very high "skill levels" and you can play completely for free to say, have of each. Which is quite a bit. I want to say it has something like 250 cap or so and you can play for 125? Someone more familiar with the game can correct that.

You can also make your own skills by combining them. I haven't really got into that part of it and of course there are rules that govern it.

I think it's a neat game and have been fooling around with it for a bit. It has a small but devoted community. Not sure if it will be your type of game but you could check it out.

Ryzom you actually write and make your own skills and spells.  you can do things like add range, add aoe, add attack speed ets.  Each skill has X-number of power points and some bonuses take more than others

Yeah Ryzom is a pretty cool game though I havent played since they had the server mergeawhile ago...Mortal Online is OK though many say you cant compete as a f2p with the skill cap at 60.
