I see sneroplex defending and white-knighting over SWTOR/EA/BIOWARE all the time.  Some of the stuff this person says is absurd and meaningless.

 

The latest instance was someone blowing off steam today on the SWTOR forurms, about how they were going to quit, and how forum moderators were mindless and living off juice-boxes.  The thread was deleted, but I saw sneroplex there, cutting the OP down to pieces.  I think the OP's points were valid.  The Insults were uncalled for.  The OP was unhappy because of an infraction for stating he/she recently unsubscribed (it's BS but thats the new SWTOR rules - no talk of quitting, or you get an infraction).  Saying anyting about a cessation of subscription is grounds for infraction now.  Theres a dev post about this too if you don't believe me.

 

I know, because I read posters names when I check the SWTOR forums.

I am not a PvPer but I think that most of the "sins" in the story you find in any MMO.

The writting though was highly amusing  and for this I give credit to OP .

I actually read that thread as well. It comes down to the fact that no matter how many words you pad around the statement "I quit" or "I am going to quit" it is still against the forum rules (at least specifically for that forum). Moderation isn't horribly bad in general but players have other options to provide feedback to the devs other than spamming forums designed to support community building with "I quit" whine posts.

It wasn't always against the forum rules.  There used to exist a "Why I unsubscribed" thread that kept cropping up, but that too was made illegal on the SWTOR forums.

 

"I quit" whine posts are designed to inform developers why their subscription numbers are going down.  If the game is expanding, then ignore them .. if it's shrinking, then pay attention.

 

banning any attempt to discuss subscription status is asinine.
