"Immersion comes from a living world that reacts to your actions." Not "questing." I wanted to expand on this. It sounds like the pr talk we've been bombarded with for the past year. Let's look at it though.
You see these for NPCs? They're sitting upsatirs at the bank. The guy on the right is Mei Mianzhi, Dyehouse Finacier. The guy directly across is Yao Zhang (he just stood up and said something, I missed it), a East Chamber Official. The lady to our near left is Dou Shenggang, a Loan Officer. The lady behind Dou Shenggang, is Lan Huanyan, Loan Officer Assistant. What the heck is going on here? What's the big deal?
I've heard there're 50k NPCs in the game. Nearly all the NPCs have names, and all of them tie into the affinity/gossip/random encounter system. Your action determine how these NPCs react to you based on your action, past and present. Depending on how they feel about you, they may give you "Gossip."
After my last post, I crafted a low level item to break down. As I was doing that, plus signs and smiley face appeared above the Dye House Finaciers head. He liked something about what I did. If I continue to do things he likes, hey may open up and give me some gossip.
Gossip usually is a little bit of vague information that leads to someone else. Once completed the gossip "quest" could lead to random, or miricle ecounters, that may give you the oppertunity to aquire extremely rare things. The system is complex, I don't know all the in and outs, but this stuff is in ever nook and cranny of AoW.
Broken english (maybe perfect now?" translations plays very little into all this.

Yep the cut scene text is perfect in the 18 man raid.
Funny thing is, this is about the "Eastern Chamber" being taken over.
