You know I got to thinking, I did enjoy SWG pre-NGE so I would like to suggest that ESO add space flight into their upcoming title. I know it sounds crazy at first but hear me out...
During the war a secret underground Dwemer facility was unearthed and in the ruins a space machine was discovered. In hopes to find another planet without faction limitations the people of Nirn set out to explore the galaxy!

Ohh trust me, I honestly believe that space flight has more right being in TES than faction locks At least it fits within lore (from a dwemer angle).
Nah but laser blasters would be okay.
hmmmm, well, on a certain level you might be right. After all, isn't one of the rumors that the Dwemer entered the Numidium and transcended the mortal realm. Or some such thing?

That's actually a neat idea.
Would this be where the game becomes "Shadowrun"?
ESO is pure themepark. Confusing people into thinking this is anything like SWG is a travesty in computer gaming.
If you add spaceships, them you also have to separate all factions so there is no conflicts (via ESO manifesto, apparently). Also you need to generate 1000 "space" fetch-me-this type quests to keep the audience happy. Even more so, you need to allow spaceships to be blown up and suddenly "ressurected" at the nearest space hub or the casual crowd who plays ESO will rage quit.
I won't even go into "open world / universe" exploration or crafting or inter spaceship relations, as it would just be beating a dead horse.
ESO will be a fun $15 / month themepark ride for a month or 2, same as SWTOR.
The best situation possible would be if ESO goes F2P in less time than SWTOR. Because at least SWTOR didn't restrict entire factions from each other, all the time. Only some of the time. SWTOR was no angel either, thanks to bad EA designs.
Zenimax can change things, if they want. I hope they do.

If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.
They tried to transcend to another realm... maybe they could play off that. It was misinterpreted by many of the Dwemer's intentions. They wasn't trying to transcend but ascend.
They was successful. They all jumped in lil space ships and flew off to another planet - hence their disappearance.in that case, I bet if someone were to search they might find their very own spaceship to travel the galaxy each week and have all sorts of wacky adventures!

The Numidium was a giant golem and it was not a device used for the Dwemer to travel with in any way, shape, or form. Nothing lore wise really states exactly what happened to the Dwemer but its most likely the race was wiped out during the Battle of Red Mountain.
Nothing in TES lore supports a space ship and the OP is nothing more than a fail troll attempt.
