    I Alt+Tab all the time but for grins I did Windows+D and didn't have issues either.  Took a minute for my comp to bring back full Rez stuff but otherwise no real issues.

     

    What exactly is it doing to you?  Alt frees up your mouse in game.  Hitting alt again or esc a few times fixes that.
