My favorite pizza topping, yours?

TorgrimTorgrim Member CommonPosts: 2,088

I love pizza, I don't eat it that often but here goes my favorite topping.

(cheese and tomato sauce is exluded)

1: Kebab Meat

2: Ham

3: Onions

4 Mushrooms

5: Paprika

6: Hot garlic sauce.

So what is your favorite pizza topping?

Ill be the odd one out and say...

  • 1. Pepperoni

    2. Sausage

    3. Mushrooms

I don't always order all three depending on the place. Some can't put them all on without the slice falling to pieces in your hand. But hot damn is it wonderful when they do it right.

    Alfredo instead of pizza sauce.

Personally, I like the classics, nothing exotic and no seafood.

    Fav: Salami, ham, mushrooms

Indeed! Why would we waste the delicious taste of the cheese topping by putting pepperoni or olives on it... ;)

    Diced Ham

    Green Olives

    Red Onion

Mozzarella and some dashes of ricotta.

    Ranch Dressing used for sauce.

    Home made yeast crust.

    It’s good.

Gotta go with Anchovies. My first experience with them as a kid didn't go so well, but likely this was because I didn't expect them to be so salty or so "hairy". Also didn't help that Michelangelo was against them.

Honestly I'm not the biggest Pizza fan and overall I find eating pizza is a lot like eating Ice Cream in that the first bite is great but after that it's just more of the same. I think it has something to do with the grease from the cheese and some of the other toppings coating the mouth and pretty much blocking the taste buds. The saltiness of the anchovies acts as a palate cleanser of sorts. Anchovies make eating pizza a bit more interesting and an even more flavorful experience. Same reason I put hot sauce on a lot of different types of foods.
