YOU decided for yourself which game YOU like, then play it!

BOTH games are successfull, and doing well.

BTW what if "you could play both SWG and EQ2, which would it be?" LOL! That's right, many gamers can easily afford to play both, and many do play both... Like me. And many others.

 Last, both games are owned by the same parent company. It does not matter which game wins your little "SWG vs EQ2" vote. Your money is still going to the same parent company.  Have you ever played SWG or EQ2? Are you planning on playing SWG or EQ2?

Those are really very different games. You'd have to decide what you like.

Just get the station access pass for $21.99/month and you can play both and see what you like ... or keep both, like I do

They really are two different games, so its hard to compare them. Like said you could try out the Station Access price and try out both, but I don't think you can download EQ2 or Star Wars Galaxies(though you might via FilePlanet I'm not sure with this).

Anyway having played both for about the same amount of time, for about two months, I quit EQ2 cause of time and the same goes with Star Wars Galaxies, but I enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies more simply because I'm a bigger Star Wars fan. Also because Star Wars Galaxies didn't work my system the way EQ2 did.

The general feel of both games are just really different I feel. Its hard to compare the or say which is better just looking at the games alone. It really would simply come to what your personal taste is outside of a MMORPG. The general style of play is the same. You explore, hunt, level up, pick a class(though you can change them in SWG and its skill based), have housing(a lot better in SWG since you have an actual house you can buy(cheap as well), etc. SWG is more casual friendly I feel in terms of travel, advancing, exploring, building, etc. Then again I haven't played EQ2 since all that extra solo content was added.

If you like Star Wars, and don't want to have to worry about buying extra ram and a higher end graphics card then go for SWG. I haven't tried out Jump to Lightspeed and the new Wookie expansion looks great. I guess I'm tried of Fantasy MMORPGs at the moment, seen one elf or dark elf you've seen them all, so my vote goes for SWG if I had to buy just one of the two.

In fact I plan on playing it again after the semester ends.

Have you played both? If not I suggest trying the EQ2 Isle Trial, and I'm sure there is a SWG free trial as well. Fantasy//Sci Fi .. it's up to you. Frankly to get into a RP-mood I tend to stick to fantasy-like mmo's, even though I'm knee-deep in CoH with my girlfriend. WOoo Issue 4!

I am with Wickes on this one, just get station access and play both or ALL their games for $22 a month.
