this is a better solution IMO
you have to approve every IP that tries to connect to your account.
i remember in the D3 forums i made a topic asking why this cant be done and the responses i got said it was not possible or a logical way to do it because ip's change often.
well, ANET did it and it seems to work well.
I'm still confused as to why they don't offer authenticators for this game. You'd think after situations like the D3 debacle, they'd realize that a popular IP like this is inevitably going to be a target for hackers, and thus authenticators should be a no-brainer. Heck, even FFXIV had them at release, I believe.
Once you log in, they know what region you are from based on your IP. They should restrict your IP based on where you initiated your account. If you travel, you can opt to relax this restriction, but still, It's not hard.
Just remembering that video gives me a headache
