uh oh... last minute crisis

in Guild Wars 2
Soooooo... i just watched a video on the dances each race does in guild wars 2 and it's posed a problem for me... now i dont know if i wanna make my main a Norn or an Asura... i mean i was completely set on Norn but now i've seen the Asura dance and they can really bust a move lol... what do i do :(

    Though dances are fun, think of how much time you'll be spending playing as opposed to just dancing. If you prefered Norn but liked the Asura dance, I would go with Norn. Thankfully for me, I like both the Asura and their dance ;-p

    the asura dance is so awesome.. the norn dance is just like... umm, get off the dance floor lol, see this is where it's at... 1st world problems at their peak -_-

    I think combat and walking animations are way more important than the dance once. But then again... asura wins hands down in terms of animations for me, they are cool and unique.

     

    I'll make a character for every race in the end, but my main is gonna be an Asura.

    this is indeed true too.. i feel like the asura has definitely got a certain little bit of extra polish on them in terms of animations, but i like the lore behind the Norn too much to ignore it... i guess at the end of the day there is no harm making an asura alt once i cap my main who knows... i guess it's one of those things thats gonna be a BOOM done on the character creation screen in less then 24 hours :D

    It's amusing... while in many other MMORPGs I've played, the worries of people before launch were like "I'm afraid it will be a lag fest tomorrow", or "It's going to be a pain to craft with all the gatherers at launch", here in GW2 the worst worry people have is... what class/race to play! :)

    well to be fair my hat goes off to anet.. they have been patching and stress testing like champions to make sure everything is going to be as smooth as possible for headstarts etc... 

     

    so that isnt really that big of a concern to me, i'm sure there may be lag etc.. but i think for the most part they have any big issues people have been having nailed down... i have faith in anet i dont think they'll let me down.. so yeah need something to worry about it may aswell be what race... profession is locked in, i've been having a moral dilemma with that for the past 2 months but i'm back to my original choice :)

    Why not make both?

    Overall I'd agree that the Asura have more interesting animations. However, the Norn do have the Carlton dance, lol. Personally I think for Norn I am only going to use them if I make a warrior or ranger. All the other classes are going to be either human or asuran, and I'm dead set on making a sylvari necromancer (which is now looking to be my main).

    funny you say that.. my Norn is going to be a ranger lol
