Um... You have no proof of this.  It's been 5 years, more than enough time to have the game ready, and ready it is.

    feeling can have proof?.hmm.

5 years mean nothing. do you ever heard of Final Fantasy 14, Taburasa? people was hyper about those too and.....

    4. release date is in an unbusiness day despite of 2 more months for thank giving or christmas.

i had the feeling GW2 being pushed to release while it still not yet complete. Diablo 3 has to cut down PVP because the fans so hype and demand it be release fast. kids tend to stroke down all the coffee in one stroke and say it's suck.:D

Really?!?!?! They would not even MENTION a release date until a few months ago, but they are being pushed to release? And the millions of pre-orders? Top seller on Amazon? None of this matters?

Who cares what others think?, all you need to do is ignore and continue having fun in the game. Too many people these days get up-worked over the smallest issues. If people ignored it and didn't respond then it would die off, if you continue to bring it up it just starts a pointless arguement.  It's a game, nothing more.

Except none of those are small issues.  A video game, however, is.  Bravo.

Ive Played in the Beta weekends and I have immensley enjoyed myself, but theres one thing that just driving me insane, and thats the community thats been building up around the game since the hype has been building up. For the last month I've been playing Tera and all day in LFG chat theres people just saying the GW2 will be the end all be all of MMO's and in general just stating lots of 'facts' about GW2 that arent true. I've tried to not let it phase me but it has reached the tipping point when im in Counter Strike GO where there is absolutely no correlation between it and GW2 and people are still saying things like "GW2 is such a better game than this". Ironically all these people are probably going to be the ones bitching on the GW2 forums a week after release.

To make it short, I'm sorta scared that a portion of the community will just make this game less enjoyable with the additude and rediculously high epectiations that they have.

A FPS???? hehe When did GW2 go to FPS?????

    Don't relpy just being silly

A MMO is like life. It is something to cherish and enjoy upon in it journey. So why race to the end of it. In life at the end you die.

Actually the word-of-mouth publicity that GW2 is getting prior to release is a great thing, especially for fans of GW1. It's likely to bring in a lot of people that either weren't sure about it, or on the fence about it.

I'm the rare breed of 'not interested in the slightest' with all things Guild Wars, but even I'm sitting here thinking 'hmm, I might have to try it' because I don't think I have ever seen an MMO hyped this much, everywhere I go. Literally any website even remotely linked in some way to gaming is buzzing about it. That's pretty impressive.

I'll wait to see what happens in September though. If all this popularity is well-deserved then you know hell will freeze over first, then the MMORPG.com forums will actually be nothing but positive about a game for once.

You know those people that talk about WoW in every other MMO?

its the same people, only difference is they have something new to talk about.

Exactly, it's a numbers game. The bigger the player base, the number of arseholes rises in direct proportion. It's a shame but not much any of us can do about it apart from use the ignore feature and cultivate a group or guild of like minded friends to play with.

I tend not to focus too much on what other people are saying or doing if they're obviously idiots. We'll all have to deal with the odd knob-jockey on our respective servers unfortunately, but if we balance it out with concentrating on the good folks on there it shouldn't impact your enjoyment too much OP.

Things will calm down a few weeks after launch. But yes, the hype have been over the top lately, just before launch is always worst.
