There's a cool website that will check your computer

    http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx

    Just select GW2.

    "Loading screens" are not "instances".
Your personal efforts to troll any game will not, in fact, impact the success or failure of said game.

I have an e8400 3ghz, 4 gig ram, gtx 460 se with vista 64. Its a little better than yours. It ran fine to a little choppy. Recently upgraded to double ram (8 gigs) and an ssd drive. I can one slider down from ultra at 30 fps in congested areas. SSD drive is awesome.

    i5 2500, 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM, HD 5750 (1GB DDR5), regular old SATA II HD...

My performance has gotten better with time.  I was getting 45-58 FPS in teh stress test today in the Celodon (sp?) Woods outside the Grove (Sylvari city).  I have shadows on High, Shaders to Medium, Post Processing Off and Reflections to Sky/Terrain.  I DID have AA on at 1920x1080.

It seems to be running well and I know my system is nowhere near cutting edge.  It might run better than you think!

Thats site is kinda crappy, I just tried it and picked Skyrim.

It sead I need a new cpu..lol wtf, I can play it on max setting and have 40-50 fps, and that's enough for a smooth gaming experience.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

depending on what you plan on doing the most in gw2. If your going to WvW alot, I would do a whole new upgrade that will last 6-8 years, would cost you around 550bucks.

You don't need to go crazy buying the best there is, just enough to run Maximum settings with a good fps. A little tip, anything more then 8GB of ram is crazy and not needed.

If you ever upgrade get parts from amazon, I got mines from there, good deals as long as you pick free shipping. I could run everything on max settings with good fps but my videocard is a little outdated or about 9 years old I'll have to upgrade my videocard pretty soon.

    Preordering: None
    Playing: Random Games

yes it will run it  very good ,dont expect to play all in high but even medium graphic will be kk whit decent fps

  • Well they have optimized the client quite a lot recently and I think you can run GW2 on all lows settings which still looks pretty good.

But in general  you are pretty low on RAM for any modern game, that box just isn't going to last much longer.  I mean parts of it are ok.  But running XP with 3.5 GB of RAM is getting pretty tight for smooth running nowadays.
