Ive been bored lately and its still a month out for GW2. Anyone whos still playing think its worth subbing to? I mean arent they about to lay off another half of the dev team for it? Doesnt that mean theyre not going to be updating anymore?

To answer that question, we need to know why you quit in the first place and what it is that you are looking for in the game.
Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!
Geeze... really?
If someone is still playing the game, doesn't that mean that they think its "worth playing"? Why even ask that?
And if EA is laying off more of the game's team, how does that effect what the game is right now? It doesn't, at all... thats how.
If you want to play SW:TOR because you're bored, then put $15 into the EA machine and go play it. Its that simple, really. You know what the game is already.
That makes too much sense!

No the game still sucks, now send me the 15 bucks you almost wasted on activateing your acount.
Check out my recent thread about re-subscribing.
Only you can know if it's worth it - but I'm back and having fun. I think they've made a lot of decent changes, but it's still the same game at heart.
The stories is where the meat of the game is, so if you enjoy that and you haven't done them all - that's a good reason.
Beyond that, I find the PvP performance much improved - and it's fully smooth across the board, for me. It was never smooth before.
Nice wording here (for me -part).
PvP performance hasn't got better at all.
I played this game yesterday for the first time after quitting 3 weeks past launch and play on the same computer I had then.
PvP is still the same lag and stuttering as it was at launch. And skill latency, it's there as it has always been. Latency to the server isn't bad, mind you, but the game just lags. It's probably my comp (i7, GTX570, 16Gb RAM), but this game is still the only game that lags on this rig.
Loading times have gotten shorter, which is good for obvious reasons. Game has some changed mechanics, like every warzone can be played without republicans, LFG tool, PvP gear grind.
If I had paid for a month before yesterday I could've waited for another free welcome back offer, but I hadn't. If you are in a different situation, I suggest you wait for that. If losing 12€ isn't that big thing to you then go ahead and sub for a month and see for yourself.
I was thinking about playing again myself so i created one of those f2p to level 15 accounts. I really got hooked on the story for my class but i noticed the game really lags now. Strange i never experienced lag when playing my main account with multiple level 50's. So naturally i found it strange. The zone i was in said 72 players.
Your only playing for a month? Why are you bothered about things that may (or not happen at all) be over 6 months away?
The Skeleton crew will chunk out "content" aka. Raids, isntances, one space combat.
That's how it works. They won't be capable (if they have been in the first place) to revamp the whole space parts or introduce real new systems, or create a dx11 no eye cancer graphic engine.
So, we don't know why you stopped playing if you did play already at all.
My advise? There is F2P up to lvl15. Give it a go, and if you like it enough reactivate your old account with your characters, or keep playing with a 1month sub if you don't have already an account.
I wouldn't go by this opinion because he thought GW2 Dynamic Events sucked and the quests in this game sucks, two totally different games with two different styles of questing..so its like..OK..go play some other MMO that doesn't exist and wont be out for 10 years.
There Is Always Hope!
I was bored, tried TSW but hated it, GW2 is a month away so I subbed to ToR. I'd played before, burnt myself out, but now i'm having a great time. I might even keep up the sub after GW2 comes out...
In my opinion it's worth dipping back in, especially if (like me) you have some mid-30s characters and you're a completist.
I think ToR is a good game to play sometime...one month ..i,m not sur for me ..but SW is SW ..and i will give a try for the next major update
