Any guesses on what dances GW2 will use?

Beyonce? Flashdance? Kung Fu Hustle? Tributes to Michael Jackson? Tom Cruise from Tropic Thunder? More classic movie moves?

What moves do you want to see?

I'd like to see less pop culture stupid in MMO dance animations, and more the animators taking the time to invent some moves of their own. But that's just me.

Me too, I would rather see more original dances that are more appropriate for the game (I did not enjoy the original Guild Wars dances at all)

Hey, I like So You think You Can Dance but dont want to see 'krumping' Charr (Actually, I dont want to see krumping at all).

The monk is nice, I guess I was mostly referring to the necromancer, ranger, and warrior.  Though I am sure there were others.

They should do more interactive dance emote where you could walk and move while dancing and others could join you because i heard they are trying to make this game as social as possible... kinda like ArcheAge would be perfect :)

I found the Thriller Necro dance was a nice touch. Zombies and whatnot. That's my personal taste though.

    No that's not only him.

Actually Lotro danes fit Lotro much better.

Maybe it would not fit other game as good.

Choice of dances if they are pop culture soaking into or something that fit game world better should depend on 'game to game' basic.

Still modern pop culture going into games and all those references - it is getting way too old lately, since most of games in last 6-8 years did that.

It is not bad. Just overused.

Much prefer the more serious dances than the annoying pop ones.

That is the greatest mmo dance emote I have seen yet......absolutely awesome. Whoever did the mo-cap for that did a fantasic job.

Being an avid electronic music fan I love anything revolving around pop locking or shuffling but I have always wanted to see a dance emote that uses the concept of glowsticking or fire poi but instead of glowsticks....spells.

I adored the monk and dervish dances from GW1, as well as the more "OOC" dances.

I think if they include both setting-appropriate and toned-down OOC dances, I'll be happy.

I could imagine being able to do some moves, like replacing the skill bar with different dance moves.

But to make up one dances? They would have to animate all that stuff players suggest. And they surely won't do that for a single guild. Not all year round. Maybe they hold a contest, and the winner or the top three get to see their dances ingame, like many MMOs do with weapons and bosses etc. But there won't be a "suggest new dance" button anywhere.

Please only use existing dance moves.

I don't want to see people that spend all day working at the computer trying to invent dance moves.   That sounds horrible =P.

If you want to know how to do really good dancing in a game,  just visit the Utherverse reallity.

Why dont MMO games do this kind of dancing and make all those moves collectables.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

for ANET, their formula is FUN > Realism
majority of GW1 players love the pop culture references in the original, and taking them out of GW2 is un-ANET-like. GW1 fans are excited to see what the dances will be like in GW2 and figuring out where they got those moves from.
I wouldnt have known (and liked) Napoleon Dynamite if it were not for the male Ritualist's dance moves ;)
