Less non-mmorpgs please

Crunchy221Crunchy221 Member Posts: 489

This site is clogged to death with tons of non-mmorpgs and browser based game. Its becoming impossible to to wade through the garbage and locate new mmorpgs.

On top of that there is about 50 games that are perpetually non ranked and further clog the list up.

Can we PLEASE seperate the browser and non-mmorpg games from the client based F2P and P2P games that once made this an easy and quick way to keep up on new games?

Im not suggesting to shun your advertisers ect and boot them off the site, perhaps have a link to "traditional client based mmorpgs" or something of the sort.

If this site payed one third of the attention it does to necro'ing threads on seldom used forums, and banning users for less than cheerful banter, and directed it to sorting and tending to its actual database and presentation of the data, this site would be awesome.

Right now its basically a giant mess of random games, un-sorted and outdated (for most the games at least)..with a forum police force like no other 3rd party site ive seen.

Mabey for a day a week devote some time to updating games that have been rotting on this site?  Mabey sort them between types of games (since this site has less and less to do with its URL address name every day) and perhaps go back to ruling the forums with an iron fist after the games are presentable and easy to sort through?

Just a suggestion.  This site is a hot mess right now with its game list....leaving the door open for someone else to create a coherent and updated list of client based mmorpgs...just sayin.. couldnt take more than a week with all the man power you have regulating the forums.

They offer a filter. Create one that works for you. As for you aversion to certain client types (ohnoes browzarz!!11) What makes Crystal Saga, Battlestar Galactica Online and Puzzle Pirates any less of an MMO or any different of an MMO from your personal definition of what an MMO should be? How about Runescape?  Is your issue the PBBGs like Ikariam and Travian? Those games have more ongoing player interaction than most modern MMOs will ever have.

How about this... instead of saying that since you don't like something they should make it disappear for everyone so that no one can see it, use the existing filters, man up and move on.

Whats the definition of "Massive Multiplayer Online" ?

More then 10 ppl on same scene? more then 100? Just been online?

And whats the definition of "Role Play Game" ?

We can interact with something in scene map?  we have some sort of progression?

i dont think this forum is a mess in matter of games, its up to us to filter the games we wanna check (like the Loktofeit had mentioned).

Use the filters and stop telling others that they need to use your limited definition of things. MMORPG should list every single type of MMO, that is why they are called what they are called.

I do think mmorpg.com should make a browser based game sister site just like BBGSite etc. And move all the browser based ones over. Hell there is plenty going on in the browser based scene to justify it.
