There are many ways to enjoy a MMO game, and to be successful as a guild. In this post I want to focus on roleplay-orientated guilds, and what you think makes them work well.
I am in the process of creating a guild for an upcoming MMO, and am looking towards a roleplaying focus, as I am a keen roleplayer (tabletop, computer and live action).
So what makes them successful? Is it perhaps a policy of in-character only chat? Restrictions of race or class? A strong guild plot? Tight integration with the games' backstory? Is it a combination of these things, or something else I have neglected to mention?
Discuss, and impart your wisdom so that I might learn new perspectives and bring them into the fold!
