Really want to play TSW but.....

keenberkeenber Member UncommonPosts: 438

First of let me say i loved AoC when it came out the graphics and fighting style were great but the bugs and lack of end content made me quit even though i had two lvl 50s

Now my concern is will TSW have the same problems so i wanted to wait till i read a few reviews and from what i have read i am leaning towards buying the game but i still wanted to know a few things

1 - I have read very little about crafting in the game

2 - How much content is there is there any info on end content

3 - is there any raiding and if so how many per raid group

4 - Do every faction get a totally new starting zone with unique quest lines

5 - How is the upgrad system is it just loot drops with rare drops ect.

Thanks for any info you can give me

As for your comments the whole point of forums is to exchange info is it such a crime that i dont have time to serch through tons of info for some real player info about a game that i would love to buy.

All of this information is available on their website and tons and tons of posts easily via google. If you really want to play it I think you would have spent some time learning about it will all the information available to you.

You would be better off not posting.  You don't contribute to the discussions.  Let someone answer the questions instead of telling people they have to find answers that only a forum junkie would know.

1 - I guess you read the crafting post, so I don' t need to answer this one.

2 - Try watching some developer diaries on youtube.  Those explain a lot about the game's content and progression.

3 - If I remember correctly, they didn't design large-scale raids.  Content is team-oriented.  The developer diaries elaborate more.

    4 - Yes.

5 - From what I have seen, yes.  Clothing is purely cosmetic, but accessory items have stats on them.  The game isn't supposed to be based on gear, though.  Your build is supposed to be more important.  Your team's build is even more important.

Ive been following this game for years now. Last I heard was that the secret world was in the making since 2002, the team behind the game claims that there is about 10 years of content available when the game launches, I would be surprised if there is no end game content.

I just finished the beta weekend myself, if you would like to read what I wrote on the other forum titled " It did'nt deliver" kinda thread , just read my post and you'll see what I mean.

    Hope that helps you out!

Dungeons wise there are 8 dungeons in the achievements log, with 3 difficulty modes, Normal, Elite and Nightmare. They stated that raids will be implemented post launch.

Pvp Wise theres currently a 5v5v5 and a 10v10v10 Battleground, and a Persistant Warzone with 5 capture points that give bonuses to your faction if you hold them.

They have a 2nd warzone on hold aswell called Shambala, im not clear on why it wont be in at launch, but im guessing they want people to focus on 1 warzone, and they will implement it once they feel its needed/ready.

The crafting seems like a nice system aswell, and ofcourse theres the matter of maxing out AP and SP.

I liked what you wrote Aeolon and it looks like due to the way questing is we will have a great communtie that will be helpful and friendly .

This could be the mmo i have been looking for after trying out so many so called great games only to get copys of a system that was great once but i think most of us older gamers are sick of.

No offence, but those that "Really want to play" are playing.  I mean, it's an open beta and if you want to get in - i mean "really want to" as you say -  there are mulitple ways to do it.  The Secret War being the easiest one.
