So what's the major differences between Everquest 2 and Everquest 2 Extended?

From what I understand is that they're BOTH free now, right? I read on wikipedia that Sony just made Everquest 2 free, to follow the success that Extended had. If I decided to play one for free, which one should I choose?

EQ2 extended doesnt exist anymore

 

last december, all servers went f2p

Bazaar merged with Freeport,  Vox merged with Nagafen

Wow, is that true? I used to play Extended just over last summer..

And a bit off topic, but how the hell do you post on the official Everquest 2 forums? I created an account, and for the life of me, I cannot seem to find the option to post in threads or make threads.

your account still exists -- the Freeport server still exists, no noticeable changes for you

 

everything is the same as extended used to be but soe removed some items from the marketplace
