Combat animations update?

Hi, i was wondering if you guys have heard anything about the devs updating the combat animations in this game?

I mean i really like EQII, with the awesome player housing, varied races, lotsa quests, varied and huge game world, and mounted combat.

BUt, unfortunately, i cant stand the way the characters fight in this game,

I mean, really; im standing about a couple of meters AWAY from the mob, AND STILL hitting it with my knife?? Its not just the combat animations themselves, but also how its implamented.

Awesome game otherwise..
