if they use the exact same death system from their game HnH.. you lose all skills and player attributes you had at the time of your death, as well as any gear you had on (should you die to a player who has looting skills)
if they keep that annoying slider system, you also lose a larger or small % of total XP you had todate based on how the slinders are alined.
in effect if i come and kill you, i can steal all you own from you and your house/town.
if you die from starvation/monsters/other stupid things then you keep it all, just have to find your corpse to recover your gear.
main thing is death in these kind of games are like dying in minecraft, you dont lose your physical items (persay) but you lose alot of time and effort.
I must have died a dozen times in HnH from lag + hidden danger (read; bears). I got back roughly half my accumulated xp (I chose the refund route on the slider, just in case), and generally got my stuff back - but there is one major issue that I hope they alleviate;
Losing a character means losing that chosen name to the void. I used up every IGN I go with in other games, then had to start usings extra vowels. If they didn't reset the maps now and then, the usable names would dissappear to the point of no return. You'd have to geet used to running a char named "Xuyzzz" or something.

hahah ya i agree with you, also the ability to delete toons ><" my first toon is lost out in the wild kinda wanted to use the name again but cant.. so my name is random capitals looks like an account name not a toon name lol.
I remember stripping naked and running around trying to die. It was insane how hard it was to die when you wanted to and how easily you die when you don't want to..
Unless the publisher can GUARENTEE my ISP wont fail..........
Again, Permadeath is NOT fine.
Can you guarantee the lightning will not strike your head when you leave the house, fate brings what it will, relax and go with it or lock yourself indoors and refuse to play.

Depends on how much patience you have. You will certainly be testing your ability to not defuse and break your PC
