How to Dismiss Bridge Officer

in Star Trek Online

My newest bridge officer states that I do not have space in my bridge, so I want to dismiss one of my old BOFFs, however the option seems to be greyed out when I have to enter the BOFFs name. HELP?

    Hmmm, I just dismissed one of mine the other day and had no problems. Did you enter the BO's name into the box correctly? As I recall, the name is there but you have to erase it and re-type it.

    Yes thank you for replying. I tried that, but the confirmation box is still greyed out.

    Please note that I am a level 10 lieutenant commander.
