Getting Started for New Players

Hi folks,

I just wanted to post this here to help any of you that may possibly be overwhelmed at the start of the game.

There is a popup that comes up that should explain this but if for some reason that is not working on your computer please read the following.

TALK TO ANNABETH SCOTT

She is an NPC with an eye problem at the exact spot you begin at. All you need do is click on her picture to "talk" to her.

She will then take you through some simple talking quests where all you have to do is read some text and click Complete to continue. For those of you who hate reading you can of course click complete but things may get confusing from here on out.

At the end of talking with her (about 5 or 6 quests) you will have a Skill credit which can be used to get your first combat skill using the flashing chest on the ground. (Click on the chest)

You should also be pointed to the first dungeon you will need to use to get started.

Yes you can wander around the above ground map but as one person has already commented here the monsters are not suited to new players.

If you follow the starting quests you will progressively work through the right level dungeons until you know the basics.

Alternatively if you must deviate from the plot use the menus at the top of the screen to go to World > Landmarks, then type in the level range of dungeon you are looking for and away you go!

You will also find the players in chat are helpful so if you have questions or find yourself stuck please speak up and ask in chat!
