I cant believe....... that some people are smart enough, that when they see a dogpie they avoid it, and others need to actually go step in it and complain while they clean it off there shoes.

I cant believe..... that some people are smart enough to see the difference between "there" and "their" and others wont see it till the end of the world.
I cant believe there are no chat bubbles in the game.
I cant believe they released game with so much broken sound system. I feel like i dont hear half of the sounds.
I cant believe they made so inconvenient auction system.
I cant believe they didnt made NPCs in cities more dynamic. There should be more chat between them etc.
I cant believe they made my personal starship more an inconvenience then a feature to the point i would prefer it is not in the game.
I cant believe they implemented "valor" - pvp stat on gear. I absolutely hate collecting and changing gear for different activities beside RP.
Otherwise im still having much fun with the game and dont see it changing soon.
Really? I've had some graphical glitches, performance glitches, quickbar glitches, even a crash or two, but the sound has worked perfectly for me so far. Maybe its your sound card?
Somebody on official forums told me its known issue. For example i cant hear sound of somebodys standing next to me lightsabre, almost never can hear other peoples speeders and sound of mine often disappears. Cant hear droid servomotors and rarely can hear sound of lifts also. Ive reinstalled system lately and it didnt change anything. I am using SB X-FI.
Lifts have a sound
I wonder what else is missing from my gaming experience...

Before patch 1.1 I actually didn't had that much issues with sound.
But after patch 1.1 it seems the game becomes more buggy than ever. /facepalm
Pretty much every day I have to restart the entire client once or twice at least, due to NPC's and companions suddenly losing their voice! And random environmental sounds (machinery, speeders, etc) dissapearing.
I cant believe... i resubbed to wow, i know im terribly ashamed and full of remorse but the load screens are short, the corridors are a little bit wider and i actually saw anothe player this morning, heck there were 2 of them together and the servers were up!
Theres no shame in paying for a polished product, ive been roaming about on a free account considering whether or not to sub again. The server ill be playing on has a medium/high population too.

saw this thread idea on SWTOR.com and thought I'd start one over here. It can be funny yet to the point and maybe the devs will take a gander and make necessary changes. I'll start
I can't believe...
that I have to earn 50+ valor ranks with nothing to show for it until you hit 60.
that I'm carrying around all these commendations that I can't upgrade, sell or trash because I've out leveled them.
that after finally maxing my craft at 400 I now cannot continue crafting without getting mats from high level and HM FPs.
that the codex isn't bigger and flashier and doesn't act as an achievement tracker but instead acts as a simplified SWTOR lore wiki that I'll never look at.
that I can't steer my ship when and where I want, nor decorate it, color it, or have more than one.
that mounts incrementally increase in speed and yet it feels like I'm still walking or in sprint mode at best and then they have the nerve to charge me upwards of 500k+ credits just to use all mount speeds.
that I can't seem to stop coming up with so many of these to add to this list, so I'll just stop now before I cause a riot.
you get champion gear thats not to shabby. Also comedations can be used to by blue and purple items that you can sell on gtn.
Not sure why your complaining hard and rare materials are hard to get.

I cant believe the loading times. Someone must have worked very hard to make them last that long.
I cant believe the space stations and their functionality, they really make me think twice if it's worth to go to that planet at that time (this is combined with the loading times actually).
I cant believe there's no LFG tool. This is not a problem when playing with friends, with randoms more so, and at quiet times. At least give me a galaxy wide chat channel and not restrict it to the planet in question so I can actually reach those who might join my group.
I cant believe there's no double specs, who wants to run around leveling in tank/healing builds?
Bioware get to work so my gaming experience improves! Nao! >:O

One more thing! Remove alignment restrictions for crystal colours on non-force user classes. I can believe it at least to some degree on FORCE USERS, even though I think Sith should use only red/orange/purple and Jedi's blue/green/purple. BUT I cant believe or understand any of the mentality behind why my blaster using character cant use some color crystal!? I can't believe this game is so much like STO in design after STO was SUCH a great success. You have lots of instances, load screens, sharding of populations, companions, space and ground game, and central hub for the game is a space station. It's a total STO rip off!
Except STO doesn't attach stats to clothing so you can dress how you like...+1
STO has better character customization by a landslide...+1
STO lets you play alien races...+1
STO has a much, much deeper space game...+1
I can't believe in SWTOR to go from one planet to another you have to load from spaceport to hangar, then load hangar to shuttle, then load shuttle to air lock, then load air lock to space station, then load space station to your ship's hangar, then load into your ship, travel to your destination, and then do it all in reverse. HOLY MOTHER OF LOAD SCREENS BATMAN!!!! Are you fricken serious...what moron designed this.
DAMMIT, If I was 20 years younger and not making such a damn good living in my profession I would go back to college and become a programer/game designer, because apparently I'm a lot smarter and more creative than these clowns.

Remember the good old days when people hated a game at launch because it had gamebreaking bugs , unfinished quests , rollbacks , massive exploits and hacks , random deaths and delevels , items missing from bags , constants ctd's ....
Todays kids are : " my speeder doesnt go fast enough" .
Another /facepalm .... for the love of god people I am developing a headache.

If you consider 36 years old a kid...well then I just don't know what to tell you. Obviously you can't accept any type of criticism no matter how small for your particular game, which is just sad. This thread isn't a "hate" thread, it's a constructive "complaint" thread with the persued end result being changes made by Bioware. Any good business owner listens to the complainers first before listening to the loyal customers.

That game had some of the worst gameplay I have ever seen when it came to the ground portions of the game. There are f2p games out there with better gameplay.
Definitely beats out SWTOR's dinky little space minigame. No doubt about that. But the ground portions of STO was some of the worst content from design to gameplay I have seen in many years.
Also, you can use mods in clothing so you can pretty much dress your toon how you want. Unless I suppose you never got any of the moddable gear. Granted I don;t believe the pvp gear or raid gear is moddable so...not sure what the deal is with that.
Character customization? Both of these games suck when it comes to that. Their other game CO trumps both of these by miles in thart department. Hell COH was better.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
To all of you "I can't believe" posters, we all play the same game. We know what it's like and we're still playing or have already decided to cancel our subs. What I can't believe is that people keep starting these stupid posts and proselytise to no end like they're the only ones who can see what's going on. It's been a month and a half since release, if we're still playing let us do so in peace please.

But you are stopping us from actually talking about the game on this forum since literally every thread about it is hijacked by the SWTOR hate bandwagon. The level of blind hate and ignorance around here is just ridiculous. If people dislike the game so much, why do they waste their time on this forum talking about it? I wish the haters would actually try to find something they DO enjoy rather than trashing every single game on this site...

All he did was list some things he didn't like about the game and alluded to that was part of the reason why he quit. I don't see what the big deal is about his topic.
Personally, I think he brought up some good points and others are just downright silly. But that is my opinion.
I wouldn't equate him to being a hater. Least he gave reasons rather than the normal:
Durhuhuh, it a turd so me no like cos ate one once and eet taste funny nomnomnom derp da derp
If you disagree with him tell him why or just move along. I don't see a reason to single him out. Most times he's a pretty reasonable poster. Just has questionable tastes at times.

After reading this thread I do not understand why anyone is complaining about it. There are constructive posts and people talking about problems they are having. Sure there will always be the "this game sucks" type of posts but the thread stayed pretty constructive. If you don't want to read about problems others are having or why someone quit don't click the thread.

I'm not necessarily taking about his post or this thread in specific. It's just a general feeling I've been getting on this forum lately. In fact... every forum on this site. The constant negativity just gets to me.

/Agree
that I'm carrying around all these commendations that I can't upgrade, sell or trash because I've out leveled them.
Very much agree. And want to add that Space commendations are pretty lame. You get a few items for your ship which is good, but everything else is "meh". 50 lvl random boxes, the purple of which costs 2 weeks worth of dailies, easily. And a space suit which requires a certain level AND social levels. Commendation requirements aren't enough? Especially for empty slotted gear?
that after finally maxing my craft at 400 I now cannot continue crafting without getting mats from high level and HM FPs.
I missed this... say what? I'm not at 400 or 50th, yet, so I haven't seen what's required for mats on high level stuff. If this is true, that's pretty lame, but... it's all very much like every other MMO I've played.
that the codex isn't bigger and flashier and doesn't act as an achievement tracker but instead acts as a simplified SWTOR lore wiki that I'll never look at.
Could be better, but acceptable for a new game, IMO.
that I can't steer my ship when and where I want, nor decorate it, color it, or have more than one.
The space game is what it is. I have no problem "believing it". It's more than what SWG launched with.
that mounts incrementally increase in speed and yet it feels like I'm still walking or in sprint mode at best and then they have the nerve to charge me upwards of 500k+ credits just to use all mount speeds.
/Agree. I have little interest in getting the licenses past the first. I'm in no hurry to spend 500+k for 20% more move speed. When I can make that much in 4-5 hours I'll consider it.

Zomg are you new at MMORPG?? This game has the least vicious attacks during launch that I can remember . It has a good number of hate posts because it was such a huge launch with millions playing , but the attacks themselves are pretty lame. I can point you to the forums of Vanguard , WAR , AION , AOC and even RIFT to see some uber hating .
The hate for this launch is like "my speeder is not fast enough" , "the solo game in TOR is so good it feels like a single player game bu hu , we want our solo game to suck balls like every other game . I cannot spent my faction points when I am higher level bu hu it sucks . It has like PVP exploits bu hu . SWTOR has only sold 2.5 million copies in a month it should have sold 5 million ....it failed.
I doubt I have seen 1 or 2 threads that I would really consider as true trolling compared with the hundreds in some of the older games. The people that bash SWTOR do not come of as trolls or even haters but rather as whiners . And this time they are not even whining about the important stuff.
I mean seriously how can you have a rational debate or even old fashion drama with someone who is bashing the game because the speeder is not fast enough for the money he has to pay?

My main point was this; since launch (and even for a long time before) there have been posts exactly like this. People spouting about the things that aren't that good or could be much better about this game. EVERYTING the OP said has been said elsewhere, and it's not hard to find. I'm just tired of new posts appearing on this and ever other forum repeating the same stuff ad nausium. If you agree that this game isn't all that good just /agree on another thread and be done with it, why start a whole new thread that is going to rehash the exact same arguments that have been made since before launch?

To be honest, this is going to continue for a very long time, regardless of anything said here in this or any other thread. I'm part of the /agree crowd you speak of. Hoping these threads die down seems like more of a self serving device for you, as you would come to these boards, there would be no negative threads, and you would browse happily knowing that everyone loved the game you play and all would be well. This is not so, and there will continue to be unhappy threads and happy threads to counterbalance the others.
What drives me insane on both sides of the isle is uninformed hate posts or, much more to my nerves'end, mind boggling white knight posts that will not, under any circumstances, address that the game has issues and is perfect. From my view on this board, the hate posts exist in the first place because of the indignant white knights who seems to want to spread the good word and ignorantly leaving out real issues currently in place right now in the game.
example: "This game is amazingly great. From the top down, it's just perfect, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a troll and i hope you die in a fire for disagreeing with me". It's that crap right there that pretty much starts this with any game and it was RAMPANT for months....and will continue to be.
But i digress. The simple answer here is it's just going to continue, and on this website the white knights have, are, and will continue to lose this battle. There need to be more constructive ideas and a more respectful tone, but this is MMORPG.com, the current attitude is expected. If you want to speak with people that like the game, i suggest you head to the game, as the people playing it will be better company.

So do so. No one is forcing you to read these posts or forums. Feel free to put your head in the sand and hope for the best, no one is stopping you.
:P

ya some game dev are desperate to make sure that if their game isnt the top NOT ONE SHOULD BE!hahaha
The constant negativity just gets to me.
...I can't fly
