Compilation of Known Dynamic Events

Recently semantikron asked whether there was a list of known DEs.  A small amount of google searching doesn't find anything so I thought I'd start a thread about it.  If anybody comes across an existing list, please let me know because that would be really helpful.

Until then, how about we try to see what we come up with?  Please post links to any video or descriptions or maps or whatever and I'll update this OP.  Please be as specific as possible in description because if this is just a collection of random links it's going to be a pain for me to update.  Also, note you can right click on the slider of a youtube video and copy the link at the current time.  That will be helpful for big videos.  Also if you think other versions of the fight are better videos, I can change it or link multiple examples.  Also, sorry, I'm gonna start the list with the easy ones.  :)

Thanks.

Tutorial Event Videos:

Human against elemental spawned by centaurs

Charr fighting outside crypt and then against ghostly duke

Norn against small wurms and then big wurm (encounter seemingly bugged, looks like it died at half health)

Normal/Miniboss Videos:

Pirates attack and set fire to a town in Gendarran Fields

Undead ship comes out of water in Sparkfly Fen  (video also has Tequatl later)

Random beast boss splattering thief (1:50) in Gendarran Fields

Help defend hay bales from bandits

Same hay bale event (with water buckets) followed by Broodmother in Queensdale

Defend Charr armory from Flame Legion attack (totalbiscuit narration)

Defend the tribune of Steeleye Span from dragon minions (after another failed event)

Charr fighting pit event (player initiated, with voting)  followed by Drive the Grawl away from the Tail of the Star God followed by Collect Artifacts from Serenity Temple.

Drake Broodmother in Norn area Wayfarer Foothills (also part 2)

Defeat bandits at a ranch in Queensdale.  Talking to a displaced NPC in town put this event in the corner before they approached it.  Also the video lists another event, to stop Skritt thieves from stealing logging tools.

Protect the brew shipment in Queensdale.  They don't take part for some reason, it starts but then they wander off to show us Beetleton instead.

Transformed into Snow Leopard to uncover Dredge (as described below) followed by the Elite Event Defend Ascalon Settlement from Centaurs (this video is so old they used to be called Group Events) followed by Slay the Centaur War Beast (same boss that splatters the thief above, this guy is a little luckier...maybe)

Elite Event Reclaim the Hylek Holy Grounds (also lists one to Defend Shorewatch from Orrian Undead but we don't see it.  Followed up by Tequatl fight)

Major Boss Videos:

Shadow Behemoth

The Shatterer

Tequatl the Sunless

Descriptions:

"For instance, if you fight the Pirate Queen at her stronghold, with a small party, you'll face off against her small army of undead skeletons. But if you want to gather a group of hundreds of players, then you'll need to storm her base from the front, take down her towers and board a ship that has magical cannons that you can fire at her base, before taking on her army."

In the GDC Designing Dynamic Events video they give the example of a three part chain of helping Ogres drive off the Harpies from an oasis, then defending them from beasts in the area while they get water, then escorting them home.  (Link here at 9:05 or so, for some reason I'm not getting sound)

The ArenaNet blog post about designing and redesigning events has descriptions of four Norn starter area events in the bottom section.  There's the Sons of Svannir attacking the Bear shrine, the Wolf shaman leading an attack on the Sons, the Raven shrine has a riddle contest, and the Snow Leopard shaman transforming you into a snow leopard to uncover hidden Dredge (this one see video above).

That's it for now.  Let's see what else we can come up with.  Thanks again.
