Still Waiting for a Purchaseable Freeform Slot

zhandaozhandao Member Posts: 46

I played Champions during beta and I subbed a bit after launch, but never liked it enough to continue paying $15/month.  On the other hand, playing a free Archetype for free honestly isn't worth the time, because half of the fun in Champions is customizing your power selection (other half obviously is costume customization).

So here's a potential player, willing to pay for a slot that is Freeform (but still continue playing F2P after that).  Take my money or leave it.

Well, you can get a freeform slot plus 15 more(unlimited potential) for $300 one time payment. Many other benefits included.

Sorry, I have to say it .

Now back to a serious talk, I pretty much doubt Cryptic is going to give freeform slots anytime soon, since they are heavily investing on AT. Therefore, unless the slot is expensive I doubt we will see it in the near future. By the way, you didn't say how much you would be willing to pay for a freeform slot.

The main point of subscribing is access to freeform characters.  For many players, a purchaseable freeform slot would be nearly equivalent to a lifetime subscription.  So they would have to charge a lot for it, as $10 for a lifetime subscription wouldn't bring in enough revenue.
