The main reason I quit was because the corruption of GMs. My clans alliance was about to take over on the EU server, and randomly we had the GMs who were all on the opposing alliance side, ported in and killed our shard holder.
The game was very fun however, up until I realized one server that the GM's also play on just does not work...
Also, the fact that there were so many exploits, it was impossible to keep up without exploiting. I remember attacking mobs that would shoot magic at you and just blocking to raise skills for hours and hours... and was no where near max on major skills.
Besides the fact that I only have maybe 2-3 hours a week I can dedicate for "fun", I would like to try DF again.
I heard they are going to do a wipe with 2.0 so whats the point.
Last I heard from them they said it would not be necessary. I don't think anyone heard they would wipe. . they just have not said they for sure won't which is smart. . but leaves people to guess the worste.

Problem is not long ago before they ensured there wouldn't absolutely be any and then this ...

Personally I have no interest in the weekend because AV hasn't earned my time or money. I tried re-subbing once after quiting and I felt dirty because I was playing a game ran by AV lol. The company itself is a joke and until they get off their asses and show good customer relations I have 0 interest in any game they run. Free weekend or not I won't be wasting another minute on DFO until the company running it gets their shit together...
OMG this weekend is a blast. Whoever reads these forums and wants to try out DF go do it. This weekend even a newb can max any skill he wants and become a vet skilled char. It is awesome skill gains tons of ppl on and very fun. Come try it out.
Definately not a game for everyone, if your into it its a great time to get caught up. Also a really good time to get started, as personally, the early part of the game is the most difficult and boring since you dont have the options as to what to fight and where you can go. You could easily get 4 months of regular skill gains out of this weekend.
Everyone seems to be taking this weekend as a great oppertunity to take a massive chunk out of the magic "grind". Was really the only part of the game that truely was insane as for time required to fully progress.
Its a bit much though, took about 30min to get a few skills to 75 from 0 and crafting is nuts how fast its skilling. It seems like more than 4x skill gains for magic and crafting...much more

We have played the game for years and read their forums regularly since release. It is widely known what a joke Adventurine is.
Life IS Feudal
hahah this is so true and exactly what I was thinking...
Perhaps the mobs will be dropping fat loot?
Goblins dropping inferno gear? (I think it was called inferno gear).
Imagine a bunch of new players running around in some of the best gear possible.
Heads will roll!
I am tempted to play, but I do not really want to download the client all over again. Only if I had faster than 300kb internet connection..
I am entitled to my opinions, misspellings, and grammatical errors.
I enjoyed darkfall when it first came out.
