I don't think that ALL of them are "hot". Being a male myself, I am not at all drawn in a romantic way to Khem Val or any of the droid companions. Even the female alien ones are not "hot" by my standards. Besides, none of you have seen my HOT wife. :)

This was discussed here a week ago, nonetheless, companions will be awesome.

When Vette said "It doesn't even hurt anymore," with those bambi eyes I shivered in real life.

I really think it will be really hard to play a Sith char with a purely Darkside alignment for me, hehe.

If I was fool enough to be married, I'd trade a husband for the male equivalent in a heartbeat.  Much less trouble than the real thing appears to be.

I could always trade someone else's husband for the guy NPC if you're sick of him and wouldn't mind?

Oh wait, this game isn't on my to play list.  Oh well.  Come up with a way to get that NPC to open a jar for me in real life, and I will be.

Does that make me a sexist?

The fantasy has always been a very powerful lure.  It's one of the highest resasons why porn, prostitution and strip clubs are successfull.  People pay not just to watch sex or have sex but to live their idealized fantasy if only for a little while.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is bad.

Not really. By admitting you have trouble opening jars you actually flaunt your female lack of physical prowess and appear to be needing help which will greatly appeal to male readers. Despite your lack of a husband, assuming this role still seems to appeal to you. Which is a very human thing I suppose.<3

p.s. plenty of male sexism on the interwebz, so please endulge yourself in evening the score :)

I used to be able to open the damn things fine, but as I get older, they are a pain sometimes.  Being female truly does have disadvantages.

Can imagine. Same with guys though. We are expected to be able to drink large quantities of alcohol, fart and burp openly amongst male friends, park any car in any spot instantly and the worst, we are not supposed to be able to listen to our female partners in lengthy  "state of our relationship" discussions. Can you imagine how hard it can be to not pay attention?

Well yeah, most people bore me silly, actually.  Pretending to pay attention to any of them for sustained periods is wearying.  The sad thing is, I'm not joking! image

Well for me it doesn't matter if I'm in a raid, pvp, guild event, 5 man dungeon etc. When my girlfriend comes and want my attention - I'm logged off within 10 seconds, nothing inside a game can make me neglect her.

Seeing stories about people who have played games and lost girlfriends, wives, kids, jobs etc is really, really sad. When I was studying at the Uni one of my classmates was playing WOW (so was I but I stopped cause the studies took too much time) and after the second year he dropped out cause he didn't wanna give up WOW and school got in the way... Now he's looking forward to TSW between jobs... Huge accomplishment there...

Someone would have to be pretty tore up looking (with an equally bad personality)  in order to fear losing their husband to a virtual character, an NPC at that.

I don't know, but your quote from Einstein certainly makes you the sexiest.  Does that make me a sexist or just weird?

Ha ha, one of the guy companion characters is kind of hot.  I kid you not.  Gentlemen, you better hold onto your wives.

It was tongue in cheek.  Yes Aion had the prettiest outfits and most attractive characters.

Wait untill you marry her, and you will not be saying the same thing :P

I'm logged off within 10 seconds or else I will have a whole night of bed-talk :P

The best solution is to lure girlfriends into the MMO you're playing. Of course you will have to look after two chars at the same time (and believe me, my wife wouldn't be happy with less than top armor/weapon, which is not always an easy thing) but at least you will have a couple of hour's time to do half an instance, a quarter of raid etc without the "you ignore me" pattern.

Yeah, but what about a wookiee?   I'd trade a real woman for a wookiee.

But is that because you like them really hairy, or because your woman can't pick up an unruly houseguest and throw him across the room?
