Ground Combat revamp?

I came back to try STO after taking a few months off and wanted to try out the ground combat revamp. I dont notice a real difference? I did notice you can change to an over the shoulder view and that you can run forever now (if you stop for a sec to rest every 2 min) but the running seems slower than it used to. Other than that, I dont notice any changes. Am I missing somehting? Is there something I need to turn on to enable the changes?
