Aion 3.0 Vision Trailer, including CryEngine previews!
I ran across this video and was very surprised I hadn't seen it before. The graphics changes may have already been set in place with the "high quality" engine update, but it is still amazing to look at the before/afters. Around 7:30-end mark is the most amazing, IMO

I started playing early 2011, and it wasn't circulating very much at that time I guess... cause I certainly never heard of it! So I figured I'd post it for all the other newish players who didn't get a chance to see it.

I am currently playing Aion and have not seen the ability to capture mounts, build houses/towns and summon giant creatures to destroy those things... as far as I am aware, those are still slated for 3.0
Did we watch the same vision trailer? I dont play Aion anymore but I follow it closely and these are the things from the video the OP posted that are NOT released:
Sand dragons (AFAIK)
land below sanctum
swimming
land flooding
ships
underwater quest hub
seasons
house building
Mounts
throwing enemies
mounted combat
flying airship transportation
That was a very nice video,better than many i have seen posted.
Looks like better lighting added,really should have been in there already.
The texture use reminds me of FFXI,low res but as in ffxi they do a nice job with low res textures and detail.
There is a lot of nice scenes and stuff going on in those scenes but i don't remember anything looking like that when i played.
I love housing ideas,i wish devs would perfect it by allowing users to input their own housing using outside 3d studio max or an in game editing program.Preset models gets a lil old since you know others will have the exact same model.However it is still a nice touch to game ,many games don't even have it.
I really tried to like Aion,the problem was it offered me a limited questing game,that i could get better in EQ2.I actually prefer a non questing game which at time of Aion i was playing FFXi for a better combat/class structure.So i already had the combat/class game and the questing game,Aion offered me nothing to keep me playing as i don't pvp either.

well that trailer is the vision not 3.0, its things the devs want to put on, but some things may or may not be at all. for now what we have is new graphic engine with higher quality graphics, some new skills, will arrive a new pvp arena for crucible, more equipments and all, 3.0 should arrive on january on korean servers, for now we only have some talks about the equips will arrive and possible the new lvl 60 cap with a new map to attack the balaurs
this game its care for asian market period, and after ncsoft launchs arenanet west GW2 i think it goes completely down on west, but will still care for asian people, and those features from vision will take forever to come out i think
