Arche Age House Building videos

KumaponKumapon Member EpicPosts: 1,563

I noticed on these fourms that people were compaining that all that is shown is the combat. So here are some videos showing off house building. This is the simple basic house you can make.

Part 1

Finding a plot of land and start building.

Just the fact that you can open the shutters is sweet!

I hope to god this comes to the US.

How in-depth can you make house building?  S

eems it takes a bit of time (its beta so I assume everyting is speed up a bit) it seems it cost someting, You can place things in the house.

Couple it whit planting/farming and it seems to be a nice addon to the game, not to mention you can build towns out of the houses incl walls and such.

Looks fine to me personaly and lets not forget its only the start and most basic mechanics of the game right now, who knows how far it can expand further down the line after release.

this game scares me with all its shiny trinkets and come-hither smile.  i think its a trap and it'll make me a hollow eyed husk of what i once was if i fall into it.

This is apparently the smallest house and according to CBT3, its fairly easy to get in 4-5 days with a couple players (there are bigger houses for a bigger price).  Same with a ship.. you build the smallest one within a few days but if it dies.. you dont lose it, but you must resummon it for a price (also bigger ships will be offered for more $$).

In Darkfall, I spent 4-5 days with 2 friends to gather enough resources to build a pretty descent ship.  Literally lost it in 5 minutes by some super high level PKer (not even shitting you, 5 minutes).  Its very demoralizing and unforgiving.. Time wasted in a sense..  Especially when time today is better spent achieving than wasting.  DFO is still my game, but as I get older and time becomes more and more consumed, I understand the need for ArcheAge.

BTW, tell me a TOP MMO that had freebuild housing like AA on release AND matches all its features on top of that (instances, battlegrounds, freely built castles, cities, top 3 best engine, Open-world PvP, Ships and sea battles, seasons, in-game interactions with plants/trees/harvesting/farming animals, all player created,  NPC guards/workers for hire?  THIS IS ON RELEASE PEOPLE.

Unfortionately DFO fails for players with real life to take care of. Hopefully DFO 2.0 will take care of that. If not I think a huge amount of players from DFO will go to AA and never look back.
