I find it kind of annoying... and by that I mean I absolutely hate it... when a certain staff members feels the need to consolidate threads. Ie, themepark vs sandbox, group vs solo, etc.
If you really feel the need, create a seperate section for these threads, but let them stand on their own. Stop stifling the community by shutting down threads. This is supposed to be a community, right? So it's supposed to be about us, right? Then if WE want to have multiple threads breaking down specific details of a topic, just let us do it. If someone wants to start up a new thread to breath life into an old conversation, just let it happen. No one gets hurt, and everyone is happy (except for a forum moderator who has both too much time and too much power on his hands).

When very similar threads are created with high frequency we'll often go ahead and create a sticky thread to consolidate the discussion, however, your feedback regarding threads falling under the umbrella of these discussions but could stand to benefit from a separate thread of their own is appreciated. I'll go ahead and re-evaluate our sticky policy with our mod staff.
Just to clarify (using the Sandbox vs. Themepark sticky), threads created that are basically general sandbox vs. themepark discussions will definitely be locked and redirected to the sticky. However, threads such as the one discussing the development difficulty between sandbox and themepark will be left open.
