Dear powers that be,
Please accept this humble request to have this game, ArchAge, that is currently in CBT3 be reviewed as is by the member of your staff named Garrett Fuller. Mr. Fuller has espoused certain views in the past that I believe make him a prime candidate on your staff to take a look at this "sandbox" attempt by XL Games. Mr. Fuller has expressed a passion and a desire to see more "sandbox" games come to light and therefore I believe will have more of a keen eye on the various offerings for gameplay that those of us who enjoyed in the old "sandboxes" would enjoy knowing about.
Thank you in advance for considering my request,
Khal

A review is made AFTER the release, a preview BEFORE.
And a preview we already have here.
A completely uninsightful preview based entirely on first ~5-10 levels of game without even leaving tutorial area, but yeah.
Its better if this game is NOT reviewed till it has a COMPLETE launch. There's a lot of stuff missing (there are only 3 out of 7 races playable, customization and character creation has temporary screen made for betas and systems like political system are not on as well as the graphics are somewhat restricted).
IF mmorpg.com ever reviews this game, it should be before or after official release.

If you had read what I wrote I asked for a review "as is". Not getting cought up in a poor semantics arguement.
Additionally, I've read Bill's "review/preview" and that's nice, but Bill does not hold the same gaming values as Garrett. Bill is more "free wheeling" which for him is fine but it is not for others who look at gaming more along the lines that Garrett does. Especially in the "sandbox" gameplay category.

I have caught that "as is" part, but it's not exactly obeying the laws of logic.
You can't look at something from the future (an unreleased game) from the perspective of the past (a game that has already been released). Am I still making sense to you?
So, you can't POSSIBLY have a review "as is", because there is no "is" yet. Only material for previews.
My best guess is that you want a preview written by Garret. Too bad someone else beat him to the punch
Just be patient?

Then maybe you should look up the many incarnations of the word review. It is perfectly logical to "take a step back and review where we are at", so to speak. It's is perfectly acceptable to "review the current situation", as well. Again, it's a semantics thing from which you have been programmed to associate the word "preview" with pre-launch of a game and "review" with post launch of a game. That, however, is not the only usage of those words. You are fully within your right to swap usage of them in your mind to fit your needs, don't get me wrong. That said, my usage of them is indeed grammatically and semantically correct.
If you can't understand that, well, too bad. Either way, this little back and forth is preventing you from seeing my initial point which is that Bill and Garrett at two different people and based on their written views about gaming, Garrett seems more invested in "sandbox" type games and thus there as more than a few of us that would like to get his take on what they have so far.

There is nothing "impatient" about the request. I put not dates nor did I use the words "demand" and "now" there. I only put forth that there is an interest to see Garrett's point of view. When they get around to their next feature is obviously completely up to their schedule.

This guy has done quite an extensive beta review/preview (one for each day he has been playing, to be precise) . It's definitly worth a read anyway.

Thanks. Not sure if he has the same views as Garrett but will give it a read all the same!

Day 1, 2, 3.. it seems I have some reading materials
Dunno, I'm not too hyped about ArcheAge, not like I'm about GW2.. something tells me to not get too excited.
Last time I was over-hyped was before Mortal Online was in beta, and all I had was bits and pieces of info. It all looked amazing, and look what happened
Anyway, out for some steparu reading.
I am not sure what there was to enjoy tbh... he seemingly only logged in once, got to L5, and proceeded to write a piece that gave the wrong impression of a few things. A bit of a waste of a beta slot imo.
IF they are gonna do these beta views (which I don't like personally tbh... they create more disinformation then anything else) I agree they should give CB4 to Fuller, or at least someone who seems to care enough to play it for a respectable amount of time.
Wow sidetrack much about word usage?
Oh but what I was really wanting to say. I think garrett would be better suited for this review/preview whatever you want to call it. I actually want to see what his opinion on the game is. I like a lot of Bills articles but at times he looks for different things then I would and Garrett typically looks for things that I would even though a lot of times I completely disagree with him. So let's see if we can get enough people on board and maybe they'll give him the next beta slot.
