I just started reading this today during lunch, and I'm about 35 pages into it... Has anyone else here read it?
So far it's pretty good, very engaging, enough to have me hooked early on. It's also been enough to get me more excited about the game, the setting, the timeline, etc.

I have the book but haven't taken the time to read it yet. I have heard mixed reviews about it and know of some fan sites that did cliff notes for it. I also have Decieved which, while short, I found to be great. It gives a really good look into Malgus. there is apparently a third book that takes place during this old republic timeline called Red Harvest. It is suppose to take place about a year after fatal allaince. From what i understand , it is more of a horror book involving zombies. I highly doubt this one is directly related to the game like the others.

I see what they did there!
Not a bad read! Gave me hope that Republic and Empire could do a flash point together but Bioware since has said that it would not happen. Thought it would have been a great idea and this book made me think it would be even better. ooohh well
I can feel your anger. This game is defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike this game down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards towards the Dark Side will be complete.
I haven't read a book for, "entertainment," for a long while - and I have to say I enjoyed the book very much... however it doesn't compare to, "Deceived". It took me a couple months casually reading FA to get through it. It took me less then a week to get through Deceived. Both good books - the old republic novels are getting better and better. I cannot wait for Revan!

also there is a new TOR comic starting up in june called Lost Suns. Its being done by the same team that did Blood of the Empire, including writer Alexander Freed who does the writing for the imperial agent class. so if you enjoyed BotE then you may wont to keep an eye out for it.
