Dialogues in Bioware games are actually mini-games. No doubt we get few movie-lie cutscenes, like when taking off from a planet, but mostly you deal with interactive dialogue, which is as important gameplay element in Bioware games than lets say combat.
Just another troll post imo.

I would watch a movie. Or play SWTOR. You guys realize that SWTOR is basically instances and cutscenes, right? Oh and combat is basically everyone shooting and blowing stuff up, no real teamwork or class roles. Don't give money to people who don't deserve it, don't support crap games.
Care enough about your point to actually give us some examples to back up your claims?

Mm.. it does seem kind of flame bait-ish, especially since it's all based on assumption. Really hard to say anything either way without physically paying and playing it for yourself.
But what this thread is getting at is a thought lingering in the back of my mind too, just the thought of paying for time to click through dialog scenes and options doesn't sound all that appealing. Not that I dislike those game designs, but they do act as a rather large time fillers/sinks in even the SP games, interesting ones but time sinks nonetheless.
Just knowing my paid time clock is ticking while playing, I feel excessive dialog will probably cause me to want to skip through them entirely later on in the game, and completly ignore the main focus of what they are basically designing this game around, all because of the time=money factor.
All I can really do right now though, is imagine playing Dragon Age or Mass Effect and pretend i'm paying a monthly sub, and in that case I don't think I would feel the same way (awesome) about such a large focus on dialog scenes.

If i want to watch a movie i would but if i could to be a part of the movie and the storyline would i give up the oppertunity? nope. Sorry but you do not even have any solid reason to label SWTOR as crap.
I am going to buy two CE editions at release just to piss you off.
I like movies! I love movies! Hell my favourite games are movies! If you don't like games with a lot of cinematics don't play them. Simple as that. Not everyone likes the same stuff you do.

Look, if anyone wants real info and not the way-off-the-mark skewed OP, go to the official site and read for yourself.
Yes, there will be some cutscenes, mostly as a much more interesting way of acquiring quests than a wall of text.
However, the game world will be huge, there are tons of sandbox elements to it, 10 crafting professions, pvp, individual story arcs, world arcs, heroic zones with tougher mobs and more areas to explore than you can shake a stick at.
I'm not trying to sell anyone on the game, but the OP is way off and I recommend anyone interested go read up and decide for yourself. ---> swtor.com
Having a negative pinion of a game is fine. We encourage all types of discussion here. However, there's a way to say these things without baiting. Locking the thread.

If you want to watch an interactive movie that you are in control of. Play SW:TOR when it is out.
If that's not your thing. That's fine. Look else where then, no need to shout to the world that you dislike a particular genre.
