There's some numbers out there about this, the King has seen them:
But now that the most recent meh titles have come and gone; what's next in the gauntlet?
Is SWTOR beating GW2? Are there any under-talked about titles I should be looking out for? Is there's a big title coming along in the next few months that's sort of got ignored due to the recent bright & shiny?
I'm finding the ememearpeeehhgeeee sites a lil' lackluster in fact lately. It seems like they even know all the info's a tad fuzzy and abstract now.
Will develop an original MMORPG title for money.

it depends, you can say that games like The Agency, World of Darkness or The Secret World arent getting much attention compared to SWTOR TERA or GW2.
Im not really sure any of them is close to release tho, so that could explain it.
Oh yeah! I had forgotten about The Agency and The Secret World completely really. My mind was blinded. World of Darkness I keep watching for, but I'm certain some Mayan doomsday will happen before it'll be released. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised (and spared dooms).
4 big 2011 games for me, DCUO, Rift, Tera, & gw2
Tbrown, Love me or die!
I'm thinking GW2 is going to get some cash out of me.
Just cuz of how I got bit by FFXIV and by RIFT as a consumer I'm going to find a middle ground.
I'm not gonna beta, sorry RIFT didn't put it's best foot forward for me, and I'm gonna wait for reviews, my FFXIV collector's edition is pretty much just around in case I get convicted of a crime any time soon and I get to pick how I want executed.
I want that monstrosity dropped on my skull from about shoulder's height, it's smash my skull.

Well DCUO has already come.. and pretty much gone. At least for me and most people i know.
IMO the next big thing will be whats been my most anticipated game for a long time, Guild Wars 2. Not going to go into a rant as to why, ive done that enough in the past :-P
Im sure SWTOR will wind up doing great as far as sales/subs, if for no other reason than it is the newest Star Wars game, but for me personally it just keeps looking like more and more of the same with a few little changes but not enough to keep me ineterested in it for more than a month or 2. For me personally, its turning out to be a pretty bad game.
Some of the other games MIGHT turn out good, but TBH most of what we have about games like The Secret World is nothing more than hype of various forms. Not much out there as far as real solid info on mechanics, features, pvp, demos, etc. Its more of like a "yeah that LOOKS awesome, but we've been there dozens of times already with othe rgames. give me something solid to be excited about".
Well to be honest that bit of hype is all I was looking for.
I like seeing who's making ripples in the big ol' MMO pond now a days. Just doesn't seem like there are that many dream machines being pumped out now and I was wondering if I was over looking something.
Most people aren't even bringing up Fallout Online or rumors of Elder Scrolls online (they don't need to do that to their world really) and ya know those 'what if' games that seemed distant.
I think the current Generation Blah of development is punching a lot of people in the guts.
I know I currently don't sub to any one game and finally took my XBox on Live and was blown away at innovation. Then reading up on a lot of the smaller focused group content for upcoming console titles..
The genre I love is getting 1981'd by over saturation and under innovation. Seems like devs realized MMO players HATE risk vs reward, and all this snot praising of the "SAME" is really depressing.
