Need urgent computer help

Well heres my problem..

Yesterday i got my new case in image .  Now i have little experience building computers, so my bro swiched the cases for me.  Well after my bro swiched them, my comp wouldnt start , tried everything, still wouldnt start.  Then he put it back in my old case, still wouldnt start. Then he put my mobo on a box connected only to the ps, and he messed with something on the mobo, and then said it wouldnt work.  So he said its either my power supply or motherboard thats broken.  My power supply is really old, came out of a p2 dell, its only 250 watts. My mobo is a asus p4p800 (intel).  So im trying to figure out if its my ps or my mobo.  Any idea on what the problem might be?

Thanks

take his power supply and test it in your computer

    test the ram, alternate sticks

check the ide's on the hard drives

if that doesn't work, then it's either the motherboard or the processor

sorry to be the bearer of bad news....unless you brother took the precaution to discharge the static electricity from his body (aka ground himself) then your motherboard is most likely burnt out. im not saying for a fact this is the problem, but its what it sounds like, it may also be a loose cable or he is not connecting something correctly.
