Hi, this is my 1st post. I'm 43 and certainly not new to the Star Wars universe.

In a few months, I'm planning on getting an iMac and Verizon FiOS.

Speaking of FiOS, that's another issue. I'm mostly set on that, instead of Comcast. I want to watch TV online, and play SWG. Hopefully I'll like SWG.

Although I really liked PoPoLoCrois on the PSP, I almost always like games where I'm firing guns, killing something or someone and blowing stuff up.

    Well, hello and welcome.

I am also 43, soon to be 44 (april) and I take it that you saw the original Star Wars in the theater, perhaps a theater where you had to wait in a line around the block until you could get in?

That's the way it was in my neck of the woods in any case.

I'm thinking we should start a Clan called the 43'ers ...  spooky

And yes I did wait in a Loong line to see it

    Get a PC.

    Remember Old School Ultima Online

The only reason to get a PC would be to save $. Which I don't have a lot of. That or you hate Steve Jobs and Apple. I hate Bill Gates and MS, even though Steve Jobs now likes Gates, apparently.

Yes I saw it in the theaters, but not right away. Like 6 months or so after it came out.

I'm still debating, Dark Side or not. So I don't know how to go about a clan.

It's interesting because I don't think younger people realize how different the world was back then. When Star Wars came out it was like nothing that was seen before.

Because of today's large cineplexes you really don't see lines around the block. But I distinctly remember long lines around the block for both Jaws and Star Wars. Passing by on warm summer evenings and people calmly waiting in lines that swept around the very theater itself.

It was really kind of an interesting time to be a kid.

Iunno, you seen the lines for the Twilight movies? :p

It's not like you'd be noting 'unique' or 'good' so much as great timing on such things any who.

What the heck does what you just wrote have to do with the price of a kipper on this thread? I have no idea what you just said sorry

Says the person bringing up fish?

What I said was in direct correlation to the last few posts made. Sovrath and you mentioned 'waiting in lines around the block' and I remarked on a modern example.

I apologize if you can't take linearity.

    As an aside, 'ello Anarkaia.

You should check what's up with Planetside Next if you prefer the gun oriented games. Supposedly they're mentioning stuff in March for the game. So we have a bit of waiting on that.

Welcome to the madhouse o.p. Don't mind the locals to much, but it is important to remember these rules: Never get them wet, don't put them in direct sunlight and never ever feed them after midnight;) Hope you have fun in Swg. You may find it a little dated if you have been playing current console games but there is still a lot of fun to be had. Make sure you role on a good server is my advice. Have fun.:)
