If you could with a word(s) kill ANY MMO out now or past, what would the word(s) be and what would the MMO be?
Everquest - XP DEBT!!!!!!!!!!
Stop Being fed with your silver Spoon you wuss and Man up work for your things . You dont like Diying? simply put dont die. Its people like you who complain about things that make this genre fall more and more to the bottom each and every day.
yeah you think XP debt in eq was bad, that was NOTHING compared to being a RED in UO, and getting killed. Back in the old days, now it's a carebear themepark where everyone can protect their neon clothing and blessed artifacts.

You would only wanna kill a classic mmo like that because you cant handle it or how things used to be. I see the hook of newer mechanics has gotten you. Like silver platters?

No need- a bad MMO will die on its own. That being said, it would be nice to see MMOs that are on their death beds either be sold to a company that will actually fix/maintain the games that are slowly sputtering out or just shut them down for good. A couple of those off the top of my head would be Champions Online and several SOE Station pass games.
Games are about Entertainment, not work. Simple as that...
I am saddened by the sheer amount of people who love to impose the Chinese, Korean, Indian and Japanese way of life on people where everything must be a battle in order to get a shred in society..The majority of these people being European or American being born in privileged times!
The belief if a grown man or woman does not play a game for a set amount of time a day, that such person should not even live or exist and should be completely ignored. Not to mention the "holy wars" between people who view their games higher than any other entity to the point they are willing to walk like mindless zombies, defending the company that siphon's money monthly from people. p.
I once took a bet on staying out of a game for a year. In that year I completed 45 college credits and picked up two certificates as well. Upon my return, I found the very same people had remained, playing 6 - 10 hours a day and giving me the excuse that they did things, so I asked "What did you actually do?" and they told me all of their in-game accomplishments.
I rather live life without taking advice from game addicts on how I should squander my life.
Basically the death of an mmo is a result of players not interested anymore in the game. Because there are no new features that they inject in the game. No more selling points that the players will be able to be interested about.

SWG...nothing really needs to be said...
I take it your the kind of person that likes things with an I-Win button and a silver platter?
Death of MMOs?
EXP DEBT, Cash Shops, Manipulation, Grinding, Bots and Community !
Oh yes, I did play MMOs for many years until I woke up one day and realized that I wasn't one of two things:
1) Korean or Japanese
2) A fool who rather forfeit my life to a game than actually spend my time getting educated and doing super-cool things in the real world. ^_^
population decline would be #1 killer, without players, no money to support infrastructure. Simple enough.
Tons of crappy asian MMO's happily making money.

No players means no interest for the game. Mmo killed!
