I love my Mesmer. I didn't create a Mesmer till recently, and since she's the only character I currently have in Pre-Searing, I'm using her to get LDoA. Though her skillset is in some ways more limited in Pre-Searing than other professions, I love hunting charr. I'd have to say Mesmers are my second favorite class behind Warriors (I just can't resist bashing things), and easily the most interesting to play.
Can't wait to see what Arenanet has done to them for GW2!
Im playing Mesmer/Assassin currently and it looks like the best word for Mesmer profession is "Saboteur". I love this class even through I started GW1 not long ago and Im still a noob. I just like saboteurs themselves: "do everything you can not just to damage enemies but making them unable to respond". I play such profession in each game that has it (for example Engineer class in ME1 or Soldier class in ME2)
