I dl'ed War of Angels and dove right in...
The graphics are easy yet there is enough detail to grab your interest. The game itself reminds of many other MMOGs, especially the infamous WoW. (There goes half the reads, I know.) Let me explain. There are no broken or new mechanics to learn (WoW)... movement, mob interaction, and NPC interaction is normal.
The quests are a bit noobish... NPC's want to explain many details of play through quests. Yes, I think the style is very Eastern... find mob; kill mob X times; Loot X items... report back to the NPC. There are a few times where they send you to another NPC to further the storyline.
I recieved a mount near level five-ish, which moves twice as fast as running. Later, I was able to experience flight (for free) by the time I reached level eight.
Crafting is decent. Gathering is a bit wierd... you stand in front of an object named, 'Potatoe'. It is an object that one can gather with the required tool. You bend down, after a moment of digging, you get a message that you did not find anything or a loot window to pick your item from. (now... when did finding and picking something up ever have the chance of not being there?!?)
Mobs are mobs... they aggro or ignore you fairly well. There are some cases where non-aggressive mobs will attack you if you get too close... I like that.
Bosses are not epic and impossibe to kill with tons of uber loot. They are scaled decently by level and drop something useful to yourself or another.
The world is mapped/zoned, but the zones are decent size. The GUI has a neat little pseudo-path finder for quests and certain mob spawns... The mapping tool will even circle the exact location of something, providing you need to see it (spoiler).
The game is smooth. I expected a few memory leaks and perhaps a bunch of problems... below level 40, I see nothing that would fustrate me as a player.
So...I'm heading over there now to play a mage or fighter.

It's a great time killer so far .
Nothing new to this MMO, but it's managed to stay on my desktop for a week now .
Give it a shot.
Looks pretty cool , gonna go dl'd this now and check it out .
Fun game to pass the time, but I wish I could turn up the resolution don't think it will go any higher than 1024x768, no other options are available (I know it's still beta, at least for the global version anyway).
