imho SG:U is the only series that was close to Sci-Fi. A soap opera was Atlantis. Fantasy actually. So predictable and chieldish sometimes they didn't knew what else to think of and used same ideas, places and characters over and over again while SGU feels much more like serious camera/directior/actors work that create and a very important sci-fi aspect - atmosphere.
Too bad the game was aimed at that comic book sci-fi style so no big loss it seems
