Not sure why you are worried about how much ram three clients use. All games use different amounts of ram. Since game site recommends 1gb of ram for a single client running... I would guess it does take 1gb of ram per client.
Sorry, It must have got lost in all of the chat, but I'd settle(post #7) with just one client running in a pic!
The reason I'm concerned is, the perpatuum site specifies:
With that said, if the user has no idea how to "tweak" or "streamline" his/her OS (kill processes not needed) They will just barely make the RAM requirement. That may cause problems.

Yeah mine uses just barely over 1gb for one client when deployed to the terrain. 450 to 500mb when docked.
Do you have three separate accounts to log in three times? Also did you screenshot this picture before it finished rendering the screen?
I ask because in the picture you can see a few people talking but they aren't visible.
Yes I am running multiple accounts, logged in on one system. No, the reason you can't see the people rendered is because they are hidden by a set of stairs in the guild wars pre-searing town of ascalon. However, you can see their chat bubbles. Sorry for the confusion.

Care to post a pic? docked and un-docked?
You gave me +respect in some thread a while back so you can take my word on it I think. I don't see any reason for a screenshot.
Also, did you have your video settings for GW maxed or a bit lower then max? My GW maxed video opetions runs at 510mb.
Oh and GW across three 23" widescreen monitors looks very nice!

Maxed out as far as GW can go. I'd rather not only trust my feelings, but my eyes as well. The proof is in the pudding. If you require further proof on my end, I'll gladly provide it. as you can see, I'm not shy. it takes 5 second to log in, hit prntscrn, black out unaware user's names in chat (if any) and my own name(s) for security reasons, and post it...
I have this feeling (perp.exe ram useage) that I'll have to do this on my own, post it. Then the accusations will start, etc etc etc..It really would be nice if you could post a pic...
and yes, 3 monitors looks nice. I however like 1920x1200 for gaming. 25.5 is enough for me!
No problem if you say your video settings are maxed then in the pictures then they are.... No reason not to believe you as far as I can tell.
I'd like to add GW does only support DX9. ;P
you can add command line switches for no sound, dx 8, no shaders etc etc etc...These are all stock clients running with the exception of the little eye candy it has maxed out and the -fps/perf switch. Also when in an outpost/town (where these pictures were taken, the rendering of people's armor textures are toned down to look like puke, unless you use texmod and a "high def" mod. lol yes there was a time when I played GW a lot (since beta)...after all it's F2P

There is no Q&A nor live client. There is only testers, test servers and test clients.

Well, there really are two servers. and two clients. You have the Live server with the regular client used by players. There is a DEV server and a DEV client.
SO they don't just pump out patches to the live server.... they all go to a DEV server first.

Probably misunderstanding on my end...? I understand Live (server) to be something that was released, also referred as production server. If the Live server reference was meant as something else...
The game wasn't released yet thus no live/production servers.

As far as I know the players in closed best and open beta have been playing on the server that will become PROD/live server on release.
They have their development servers for staging and QA and then from there, a push to the production / live server. Currently the live server would be Beta currently.
Does RAM useage go up if more on-screen windows are enabled?
I am sitting in New Virginia mining with my chat, assignment, landmarks, radar, landmark info, targeting info and mech control windows open and am sitting around 1.15GB of ram usage for the process with everything maxed in the graphics wise and music on (I like the new age music at least for now). I have tile scan results turned on to. There are a number of other players around me, some mining and some fighting.
The ram usage in this game is on par with most other MMO’s I play including some older ones like EQ2.

Hey ellisdtrails,
In your pick of GW: http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/6825/proper.png

Not that I have seen.

So to break it down a bit.

If you could, and are planning to have a long gaming session would you mind monitoring it and see if there is any drastic increase(s). TYVM!
