Civilized War combines individual expertise and skill at arms with an enormous, ever expanding world, densely populated by a multitude of warlords, generals and petty kings, each of them seeking to overthrow their neighbours and strengthen their own realms by force. Civilized War brings you five playable factions, each of them unique in their ideology, military tactics and their selection of soldiers, buildings and technology.
In addition you can call upon the support of no less than 90 distinct gods to confer unique benefits to your faction and call down the fury of the heavens down upon your enemies. A gigantic technology tree composed of over 400 unique technologies ensures you will constantly have to develop your nation, as not to be overrun by more advanced rivals, and with the passing of time new discoveries will be made to give you ample opportunity to strike at your opponents. Make use of powerful alloys, gunpowder and more to force your will upon your rivals, or become the slave of a technological superpower. From the early Bronze age to the Imperial age, you must guide your people through an ever changing world.
Determine tax levels, food rations, and many other policies to fully customize your own nation to your unique desires, deal with natural disasters and your ever divided council of nobles, discover holy relics for prestige and power, engage in diplomacy, conduct espionage, establish or plunder trade routes and do everything in your power to topple your enemies. But beware to keep your population content or they might just as easily rise up against you, leaving your dreams of glory and conquest shattered and your achievements obsolete.
