Thinking of buying....what are the GFX/Gameplay like now Vs Launch?

I played the trial about 6 months ago, and there was just something missing that made me "meh" and not subscribe. I am wondering now has there been any major improvements to the game? I love the feel of the fallout games and whilst I know they are single player, this is the closest MMO to that genre atm. Any answers would be appreciated!
