Honeslty it dosn't seem that bad..

I jus' started playin the game's trial yesterday and so far i've had some fun with it.. It defiantly seems more rough around the edges compared to other MMO's i've played.. But it captures the star war's feeling and lore pretty well if you ask me.. And being a Star War's fan i'am getting a lot out of it..

I guess since i never played it before NGE i don't really have anything to compare it too.. But so far it's reminding me a little of Fallen Earth in terms of how it plays, looks, and feels.. I don't know ill give this 14 day trial a shot and hopefully get some fun out of it.. Who knows, might even hold me over till SWTOR lol

For a game thats been out since before WoW, its unacceptable to be rough around the edges.

Also, "not that bad" is fine if thats all you even knew. But its like going to McDonalds and ordering a double-cheese and then suddenly they take away the meat patties and replace them with big mushroom caps. Then they change out  the ketchup for mayo but leave the mustard there and then say you are no longer allowed to "have it your way" and are forced to select thier pre-selected modifications to it.

Sure, some might say its "not that bad" if they never had the original. But for the same price you can get so much better.

That's GREAT, have fun with it. It's just a video game. I've played it through every version. It's still a complex, unique game. It's a blast infact. Especially if you've never played it before. For a Star Wars fan, there is none better. Not even TOR can touch it for SW nostalgia. You can use a mod to get a better interface, like all MMORPG's. Be sure to uncheck "off set camera." This game is one of a special few that, in my experienced opinion, is a genuine MMORPG; one that did not forget the RPG part. SWG, Vanguard and UO are the only electronic online games that feel natural to old pencil and paper RPG players. Make sure to get into a good guild. Search on Google for a guild. This game is still very complex and has a steep learning curve. There is a whole lot you can do in the game that is not readily obvious.

At the moment, I'm playing Vanguard. Best MMORPG on the market, hands down. Massive world, polished, numerous quests and endless variety. If you enjoy the "openness" of SWG be sure to try Vanguard (try the 14 day free trial).

    Enjoy your adventures.

No it really is that bad, I left the game in 2007 but go back and play once in a while.   2007 is pretty much the last year this game had development.    You might like the community, in reallity SWG has become a 15$ a month chat room.   The only SOE game I play is EQ2, because it still gets expansions.  I really dont understand why SWG players still play?  They do the same thing over and over and over again.    Youll learn if you stick around that SWG will never get any new content, and after level 90 the only thing to do is pvp on a populated server.
