this is a whats your game thread

has there been a game that you played from beginning to finish and you told yourself  "Damn that was a good game!!" 

 

for me it was Fallout 3

i played it and i really got into it, the immersion, the sounds, the universe, the setting.

i really felt like it was survival after an world apocalypse event.

i played other games like KOTOR and KOTOR2 and BIOSHOCK lots of SP games, and they where all really good games, but fallout3 left me with the, damn that was a 49,99$ well spent and worth every penny.

Batman Arkham Asylum  came close second except it got ruined at the end battle (no spoilers) felt like at some point they got tired of developing it and said fuck it lets finish it now..

 

what SP game has left you with that feeling of "worth every penny"?  (and why)?

Monkey island series has done this to me a few times. Leaves you saddened because you know it´s over. A couple of others are: Mass effect 1 (couldn´t quite get into the second one though), Civilization 1 and yes the KOTOR series aswell.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion for me I would say.

I played both so much they shoulda probably paid me lol.
