he said it was unacceptable for any guild member to do that.
my friend in the guild who knew him longer messaged me saying "hes does not mess around appologize before he kicks you!"
i refuse to appologize because its againt my morels because its a mokie title (not even something you need to go into the movie to see... it coudlb e read outside the move therters on posters a billboards it was everywhere.)
he started hunting down
i asked if he did not like the movie,
sone else said "kickass was cool"(ignored probalby because he was already focused on me or thought it was me)
i tell him which guild i am in
i say "goodbye guys i prob wont be back ^_^ good luck"
kicked.
I thought this was kind of harsh until I read the quote above. It was obviously a guild with strictly enforced rules. You said something he didn't approve of, and he gave you a warning. Fair enough. It happens, and the right thing to do if you really liked the guild was to say "Sorry, it won't happen again", and move on. Instead you argued semantics. I'd interpret that as you only being willing to follow rules if you agree with them, and apparently so did he. Slipping up in guild chat is acceptable. Arguing about whether or not you broke a rule with a guild officer is not.
I'm not saying I agree with this way to run a guild. I wouldn't be in a guild like that in the first place since I thrive on conflict when I'm bored. However, I can understand him kicking you (based on what was quoted), and you're probably both better off from it happening now rather than later.
UPDATE GUYS: he sent a message saying sorry, and that he was not fair. (my friend pmed me too sayign everyone forced him into it tho) but i decided i wont go back. (this is for all those who realy wanted to know.)
It's a game... just find a new group to play with. They probably didn't like you and used that as an excuse. Not the end of the world.
... i hate people who dont read everything and make a wild guess at things.
Not a wild guess. I read what you wrote...which makes you seem a heck-of-a-lot younger than 20...
You obviously can't fathom the idea that someone doesn't like you and kicked you out. Insecurity? who knows. Is the guy who kicked you a overreacting? maybe. maybe not. It sounds like you are trying to stir drama out of nothing. Move onto a different guild, or stop obsessing about issues in videogames. It will be better for your health.

Nice, gratz. I hate over zelous guilds that have out of control policies, be it language or min/max.

yeah but then again it does not feel like he meant it (since the oter players forced him.)
but yet agian my true reason for this thread will never be answered by 1 person.
Wow read 2 pages not reading the last 9 , basicly Get a vent and screw guild chat.In every game ive played RARELY is guild chat used just to gratz /welcome and say night.
Well, that movie was rather awful. Mentioning it should at least deserve some form of demerit.

I was in a guild like that when I played EQ 2, they had one of the best guild halls on the server and they where super help full but if you said a curse word youd get a tell from a guild officer or leader threatening you to be removed, I am in my 30s and if i decided to use some foul language then that should be up to me. People takes running a guild in a MMO far beyond serious to often in my opnion.
You knew the rules of the guild. So they had all the rights in the world to worn you. if you had problem with that you could leave.
people don't join guilds you don't want. it's that simple.
you want my opinion and how would i have handle it if it were my guild? my opinion is the guild was just full of children. i wouldn't have kicked someone for that. i would have known it was a movie and let it slide. this is why i don't like guilds. in my experience, the leader just kicks people because he's the guild leader and he can. they just want to feel like they have power over you and tell you what you can and can't do.
If I'm looking for a guild, well I'm and R rated kinda and I know I won't fit in anywhere else so I ask the question before I'll join and save myself the bullshit later on.
Take it as a learning experience and now you know waht to look for next time.

Guild with vent our your own best thing.
total matter of opinion
Not really on topic, but yeah, this is one of my pet peeves. Active, and fun guild chat is my number one criterion for sticking with a guild. Vent is great for coordinating pvp and group events, but asynchronous communication (guild chat) is better for chat/discussions involving more than 4-5 people. My experience is that there's usually 2-3 people hogging a vent channel 90% of the time, while everyone can participate in the guild chat since there's no limit to how many people can type at the same time.

ok guys can i try this again..... instead of makeing this about me. lets try to do it the way i really wanted it to be,
wat do you guys think about rules, how shouldthey be enforced and when is it ok kick somone. i thought i had more then that buy all this drama people are pushing on me made me forget.
Guild leadership can make any rules they want, it's their guild.
As long as folks are mature about most scenarios even a guild that has a no profanity rule should be somewhat reasonable. However, I'd say racial slurs, belligerent remarks or ongoing rants with a lot of swearing would not be excused.
I'd drop someone in a second if they joined the guild, I said no swearing this is a "family friendly" guild. And they start guildchat: Oh F did you see that S? Holy S that F'er got F'ed up in the <sundon'tshine>. Yeah, that’s a /gkick and a /ignore. No questions, explanation or apology accepted.
If they used ass, damnit or more "PG-13" context type of things it would probably just be a: would you kindly keep the language reasonable in guild chat. Remind about language requirement when they joined and move on.
Considering another scenario if I join a guild and they say, we are considered NC17 in guild chat take it or leave it. That is fine too.
All about expectations the kind you are given and the kind you give to the guild leadership.

The GL probably thought the movie sucked almost as bad as you played

This thread is so long even pinocchio is impressed.
Would they have kicked you if you said "kickbutt"?
And do they also get upset if you say "FRACK"?
PIRATE LORDS
'Ass' is extremely offensive, man. Don't ever use that word. If my kid saw that word, he'd melt.
/sarcasm!
I got kicked from a TF2 server for saying Cockroach. Seriously...
The sentrance was "Spys in TF2 are like cockroaches, they always turn up when you don't want them and never die"
And got kicked for that. wtf
