I see lots of people have been, and still are, having problems with this. I haven't even been able to get loggin in at all yet, after 4 days. Has anyone managed to fix this?

Me too . . . Turbine did issue an official acknowledgement of the bug and indicated that there was no ETA on a fix. This close to launch I don't expect they'll fix it for those unable to access the beta.
