WAR would probly be the quickest way to answer that. Im an Eve player myself, but its hardly quick :)

AoC, but its not fast. Global Agenda is jump in I think.

AoC, most pvp fun ive had yet in a mmorpg.

And its very fast if you know what your doing (and a tank class isnt involved)

Actualy EVE is faster than most MMO;s, within a month you can be effective in a fleet op. thats like a lvl 30 or 40 wow player being effective in a BG. everyone can make a differance in EVE. if not, just go with like COD or Starcraft haha

    Playing EVE
    Played Darkfall, Played Wow,

Guild Wars, WAR, EvE, DAoC, Darkfall, Lineage 2, Aion, Aika.

Those are the pvp focused games i can think of off the top of my head.

Global Agenda fits what you desribed. It's on sale at steam atm and is definitely worth the price for it.

My computer doens't run it so well anymore so I don't play it, but for a one time fee the game is a lot of fun. It just lacks in the MMO department, but the company has been working hard on that.

The company, which is indie, has shown to listen to their customers fairly well. You can take that for what it's worth. Either they are listening to improvements that will make the game better, or they are weak and cave-in to the mass whining... we'll see.

In GW you can start a PvP character that has max level, access to max armor, and max gear. You will still have to unlock some skills, armor, and weapon upgrades to be really competent. If you go the PvE rout the lvl cap is at 20, and can be reached in a day-week, depending on how much you play and which stand-alone campaign you choose.

I've heard good things about AoC in PvP as well as EVE. Not to mention Darkfall or a few others out there.

AoC now. TERA for the future.

    1. If you like combat systems with queues, WAR, LotRO, AoC, etc. In these games your toon will have a lot of health but you'll do little damage. This makes the combat last a long time. I find it tedious. These games with old fashion combat systems tend to have auto facing too.
    .
    2. If you like queueless combat where you can actually kill someone, WoW. WoW has the most responsive and feature rich combat system in existence, even though it is 5 years old.

^ LoL @ WoW PvP. WoW is known for a lot of things, but it surely isn't known for good PvP. I'd say AoC has really good PvP and the game is great.

Still Guildwars for instanced PvP and DAoC for open.

AoC is acceptable at least also if you want something newer, but I myself is waiting for GW2.

Three best PvP MMOs are easily

    Dark Age of Camelot

    Darkfall

    and Eve Online.

What about Kingdom Heroes that is fairly new. Supposed to have good PVP.

When was the last time you played WoW PvP? WoW PvP is 10x better than WAR and Aion. Like he said, the combat system is the best out there in terms of fluidity. I'venever tried AoC PvP, but pressing the same 3 buttons over and over doesn't seem very fun to me (I could be way off, but I thought that's how you execute combos).

I play Eve but also played Darkfall. If you want PvP and guild wars assaulting cities Darkfall is the way to go. There are no levels per say.  You have skills that raise as you use them.  Like Ultima Online, it is full loot, but unlike WoW you can replace most gear easily.

opposed to pressing one button after tab targeting someone in WOW and other games? ..... right!

    AoC's pvp is broken anyhow

Yes, because all it takes is one skill and one button to get something done in WoW. Again, WoW PvP is 10x better than WAR and Aion which are touted as being PVP games.

You're right, there is tab targetting. There's no skill in aiming something, true, but WoW is more about timing. Obviously, some classes are more faceroll than others (Paladins).

A big problem with WoW pvp is that it is so gear based. That is true for a lot of mmos in general.

The two games in which I have enjoyed pvp the most were Guild Wars and Warhammer. I love AoC combat but I just couldn't get into the pvp there.

This is 100% true. However, with the exp coming out, the gear difference is reset. Perfect time to get into WoW during expansion release.

WAR and Aion PvP blow WoW pvp out of the water.  I don't play any of the three titles any more, but part of the reason I left WoW was terrible PvP; that was not amongst the reasons I left the other two games.  This is just my opinion though.  There are clearly plenty of people that love WoW pvp.  To each their own.

What did you find so terrible about WoW pvp? The best part about WAR was the knock backs. RvR was a joke, it was just numbers and who had more of it. Most of the times people raided empty castles and only empty castles. Don't even get me started on the lack of class balance between both sides, or how badly the lobsided player distribution affects how you can enjoy the game.

Aion, air combat is a joke. Might as well just stay at home if you're melee.  Rangers and such 2-3 shotting people in equal Abyss Gear? That's pro. Spirit masters with a fear that does not break on damage. And the lag... oh man the lag. That's how you know you're getting ganked, if you start lagging.

If your looking for real PVP that takes skill try out Asherons Call.  its a older game but its still alot of fun to PVP on, they have a free trial you can check out. go on the Darktide server, its easly the most savage PVP server in the history of MMO's.

takes skill to kill people, no CC, no instances. the only safe place on the entire map is your house.
