No pre-paid cards. Can i still play?

I opted for paying by pre-paid card but according to the website they won't be in until Nov 29th.

I just bought the game at a local store but i can't finish making an account because i require the card number to continue.

Wasn't the first month free for players ? Or was that deal only for the ones who bought the Collectors Edition ?

With most games you need a card to activate the account to get the free month. It is then up to you to cancel your account before the month expires. It does not matter if you use a credit card or a game card.

You would think that the gaming companies would just let you create the account and get the free month, but no dice.

Correct. You need a credit card, a game card, or one of those visa gift cards to activate the account.
